MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Why?
At some point folks are going to embrace the fact that change is coming. And that means some classic rides and attractions are leaving. I am a huge Disney fan. I will hold my judgment til it’s built. I was a huge Movie ride fan, but love Runaway railway.

Change doesn’t have to be bad just cause it’s change
I disagree. Disneyland doesn't have much room but still manage to keep the majority of classic rides. Yet DisneyWorld who has the benefit of space removes classics with no second thought.

Thats great. Add Rivers and TSI to that list and we are set. Put Cars in place of Indy at DHS.

I don't understand why so many fans don't care about theme of a park or placement.

At first I read this as use Cars to replace Dinosaur instead of Indy at DAK and I was like "that's an even worse idea..." but then realized you said DHS and meant replace the stunt show.

And far too many here have that mindset regarding any change made in WDW. I hope that I never become that close minded in life.
The WDW parks were less about the IP but the theme and lands in each park. IMO is what made them unique compared to other parks in the World. They have completely gone away from that to getting IP into the parks regardless of fit. I'm not close minded in life except for WDW. The parks were a big part of my childhood.

It really not going to be Frontierland anymore - at least not in the way it was, set in a certain time period.

More a broader set of exploring the various areas of the US/North America (Southwest, Bayou, East Coast (LS area), Rocky Mountain/National Parks
This is where the naysayers to this project actually are losing me. I can understand not wanting the river to go (even if I disagree) and I can understand not loving it being Cars (I don’t either) but this idea specifically…I just really don’t understand how all of that is a bad thing.

Why do we need Frontierland to stay so locked into a certain time period or certain place when we could look so much wider and do so much more with it? It feels like every theme park on earth has their own spin on a Western style land, including other Disney parks. Changing one of them to have a broader scope and more varied interpretations of the word “frontier” is far from a bad idea.

I just don’t understand what it is about the current form of Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland that is so worthy of keeping as it is. If it were Disneyland or Paris, I’d understand, but this Frontierland could be so much better and look so much further than the same tired Western style that’s gotten so stale over the years.

Yeah, I'd much rather have a ride that operates reliably with a visible track than one that has no track but struggles operationally.

Unless, as you allude, a trackless version would involve vehicles moving around each other/going on different paths (which I'm not sure would happen on a ride like this regardless), I don't see any benefit to going trackless.
Ya know what doesn’t have a track but is very reliable? The rafts to Tom Sawyer’s Island! I say we just stick with that
