MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Aside from all the debate on this CARS attraction (to me it looks cool in concept, it should be part of a cars area at DHS, removing ROA is a horrible idea)

…. But it seems like vehicle design is still not very far along yet??? And that’s critical for this attraction to start construction since it’s such a new concept.

I’ve been saying for awhile, turning Pecos into either a Hungry Bear or a modern version of the Mile Long Bar would be perfect! Tear down the fencing between the exit of Bears and Pecos so people can walk right into it from leaving the show, put new Melvin/Buff/Max heads up with new dialogue, and serve some fun themed cocktails and food and you’d have the Frontierland Trader Sam’s. I may or may not have a hypothetical cocktail list made up already lol

It doesn't matter what they show or where they show it. Disney can and will change direction when they want so we wont know what we get until it opens (or its officially cancelled) - See the EPCOT renovation and the Play pavilion.

Not really. The outer design is just a body shell.

The presentation definitely seemed to show they know what they want it to be/to feel/to move in the land but they aren't there with the actual vehicle yet .... Obviously still some time but definitely was hoping to see something a bit further along

The Cars land will be Disney’s worst failure since Rocket Rods.

Someone bookmark this post if they think they can prove be wrong in 5 to 7 years when they attempt to open Cars land.

If it is indeed tracked, I'm surprised. There doesn't seem to be anything groundbreaking here if that is the case.

Considering who he is, yes, I'd say he's talking out the back.

That being said, I could see this project conceivably not happening. Disney is already stingy with costs and with recent lower attendance and a possible deep recession hurtling towards us, I don't think the project is far enough along that it couldn't be cancelled.

After what happened at EPCOT, I can totally see an outcome where the rivers are removed and the land graded and the company runs out of steam/enthusaism/cash and we get a very elaborate walking path to Villajns Land (coming TBA)
