I'll be singing at the 5:00pm concert on Dec. 22. You'll know who I am because I will be carrying a candle. See you there!

^^The Candlelight Processional take place in the American Garden Theater at Epcot. The combination of a live orchestra, mass choir (hundreds) and a celebrity narrator telling/singing the Christmas story makes for a very magical performance. There are 3 shows nightly and can be combined with a dining package.

Wow. And it's free, or is it a ticket event? I'm not going, just curious.

It is free. You can easily watch from the walkway, but if you want a seat, you either need to purchase the dining package that reserves you a seat, or you wait in the standby line that can get very long.

We were there tonight to see Neil Patrick Harris, if you're looking to go there just for the celebrity, you will be disappointed. It is about the singing, and aside from a brief introduction everything they say is scripted.

I always thought it odd that they do not allow celebrity singers (like Steven Curtis Chapman) a solo singing opportunity...even just a verse or two of an exisiting choir song.

I wonder if it has something to do with quality control. Yes, a true recording artist might be good enough, but what if a TV or movie celebrity THINKS they can sing but can't? How does Disney tell them no?

But it looks strange when a professional singer is forced to stand there silently in the dark as the choir belts it out.

I went to CP last year where Stephen Curtis Chapman narrated and sang (although he wasn't mic'ed so you couldn't really hear him).

We just came back, we saw John Hurley on Friday night do the narration. It was absolutely amazing! I never saw it before and I have to say it was one of the highlights of our vacation. John Hurley has a perfect narration voice.
