All of the animals are there solely for the guests' entertainment. They don't have to be jumping through hoops to be putting on a "show".

There are many animals that are in human care due to being non-releasable (be it because of injury, orphaned/abandoned, ect). Where do you propose they go?
There is no animal show at any of the Florida animal theme parks where animals are not displaying behaviors that would not be done in the wild. You are misinformed.
Fun fact, a lot of animals at EPCOT you see in the living seas are under the same cause as Sea World. The Manatees and Sea Turtles have lived at both locations. Theme Park competitors, same goal.
Also, if it were not for Sea World and Lowry Park Zoo, there would likely not be West Indian(commonly known as the Florida Manatees) today.
Yeah, I called Virgin Travel company out on that poublically. They would never stop selling WDW vacation packages.
I love how people think you can 1. Make all of the animals featured do things. You can't. Even human psychology does not work that way. Negative reinforcement has been proven not to work to get people to do what you want them to. An animal does not have a human like Ego. 2.The shows have mentioned for decades even before the extremeists all of a sudden wanted to sound like marine biolgists that they simply ask the animals to do those behaviors you see. We think they are cool because we cannot do them. But those behaviors would be happening for their veterinary care either way.

Other than the bird shows I don't think Animal Kingdom uses animals for entertainment, they just exhibit them.
I think the fact that the first show about an Orlando park on Disney+ was about the Animals at Animal Kingdom indicates something different. The reason we have a Six Flags membership is their safari in New Jersey. The first day of all our WDW vacation is always Animal Kingdom to see the animals and the fact we are from the Northeast is irrelevant, we love the Safari, Gorilla Falls and the Jungle Treck. Plus the animals are not for entertainment but for enjoyment of the guests. They also are educational and critical for the continuance of the species. Think of it this way, if it weren't for Seaworld most people would never have seen or cared about Killer Whales but because Seaworld did such a great job it almost put them out of business. Disney, hasn't made that mistake because their Animals are well cared for and have the space they need. Joe Rhode did a great job in developing AK and with the help of Animal Experts made sure the public would learn to care about them and the environment.

Animal Kingdom shouldn't serve animals at the restaurants, nor the Rainforest cafe, which should especially not serve animals because animal agriculture is destroying the rainforest. At least the animals at Animal Kingdom are probably very pampered and live the best compared to any zoo. Seaworld is a prison for animals disguised as a park really.

People eat meat and denying that is just foolish. Animal Kingdom is designed to educate all of us about animals, especially endangered ones. As for Seaworld, they and other aquariums have spent a fortune over the years on rescuing sealife and putting them out of business is harmful for sealife.

Not happening until the majority of both Americans and international tourists become vegetarian. Considering that (at least in the US) the percentage of people who are vegetarians has barely changed in 20 years despite more and more ways to be vegetarian, I don't see it happening in any of our lifetimes.

AK doesn't use animals for entertainment. With the exception of the bird show, what entertainment with animals is there?

At least veganism is on the rise and will keep growing. Unfortunately, even animal kingdom will keep serving dead animals for many years to come.

Honestly at this point any real plans for the future beyond what is already in production are on hold. Covid pretty much has everyone on pause mode till it ends. Even then sea world honestly could never entirely satisfy peta with a larger pool. Sea world may instead just take care of all their whales until they die of natural causes. Then a new species will take its place possibly the dolphins as they no doubt may prefer the newer larger enclosure.
