Just get a band that will play Rush/Triumph/Tea Party covers. Say eh and aboot a lot, between songs and you're good. Better yet, just should have left Off Kilter. Blended nicely going into the UK having some Celtic sounds. Dumb move.

I don't wanna hear freakin' construction sounds on my vacation! :arghh:

Even if it doesn't do much use.. and even though I have never done so before.. i'll take the time to complain to guest relations about this show each and every time I visit Epcot from now on. Hearing chainsaw noises while relaxing in Epcot is a freaking disgrace.

On a side note.. the huge middle finger that disney just gave its fans with this helped make my decision to stay at Universal on my next trip to florida that much easier. For the first time in 11 trips to Florida i'm gonna see how it is staying over there this November.. I booked courtyard pool rooms at Cabana Bay.. I always liked pop century so we'll see how it compares.
I am on a Save Off Kilter group and many people have said similar things, ie: not renewing AP's, Using DVC to stay in the Orlando area but not going to Disney Parks, less vacations to Disney, etc. It is not a threat but a reality. If people don't like enough of a particular item, they will change. Was the removal of Off Kilter the only thing, no probably not. Was it the last straw for some folks? Yes definitely.
The lumberjacks are awful, not having anything to do with Off Kilter's removal or not. I am surprised that management thought that this show was going to be equal to or better than the previous act. I assume someone had seen it prior to them being hired. It is just bad, based on the video I have seen on here. They need to be removed or moved to a more appropriate location such as Ft Wilderness.
I can understand refreshing the attractions offerings at Disney including the entertainment, and in most cases, have stayed open minded regarding the changes. This one was an epic fail and should be reversed as quickly as possible!! Marie

What quality entertainment is left to watch in EPCOT? Seems everything we used to watch is now gone. The innovation buildings are fairly empty. The film over at JII is stomach churning. *sigh*

Watched a few minutes. Good crowd but they weren't really into it. Saw them make small chairs with chainsaws. Did I really hear them play a few seconds of Rush 2112?

If construction sounds don't appeal to you, I think you'll be going to the wrong resort for the next 5-7 years. After all, we're deep into Disney's Celebration of a Million Walls as they're everywhere you want to be.

I do get what you're saying though. Agreed.

The Chinese acrobats are very impressive. They changed troops a few years ago, but I haven't noticed a drop off in quality.
the Chinese acrobats are truly impressive and they live up to what the quality of entertainment should be at epcot. this lumberjack show clearly does not. but i'm sure TDO will leave it there, even though they know the hardcore fans hate it. Honestly, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if acts like voices of liberty are next on the chopping block. bad show TDO bad show

Life is too short for anger, but thanks for your really constructive comment..

This change in entertainment is laughable and just shows that the people in charge of entertainment are completely out of touch with what people want. I remember maybe 15 - 20 years ago ESPN would play lumberjack competitions all the time and they were pretty entertaining, in an edited format.... What next? Is the american pavilion going to feature professionals playing texas hold em because that was popular years ago? Better yet Joey Chestnut showing off his hot dog eating skills...

Do you honestly think this make EPCOT better than it was before?
LOL it's pretty sad, but i would love to see hold em poker and joey chestnut in the american pavilion way more then lumberjacks in Canada

This show is SO bad that the 3 out of a hundred people who might enjoy lumberjack shows would hate this.
And compare this to the Chinese Acrobats, the Canadians come off as talent-less oafs.
I might not have been a fan of Off Kilter, but at least I enjoyed the music as I walked by, this will be an annoying joke to purposely avoid.
Too bad the lead singer left Mo'Rockin a few years back, when I watched their last show (1st time without him) it was more like the belly dancer show and her backup band (not that that's a bad thing, but it reached a point where it seemed like her belly had run out of dances to do) ...the music was still good but not as amazing as it was when lead singer Amir Ali's voice set it apart from the belly dancer.
Next they will replace the Voices of Liberty with an arm wrestling competition (featuring the VoL in the competition).

Just like Off Kilter, this group is not even Canadian, its a generic lumberjack show out of Orlando.

Oh, heck! we wanted to like the Lumberjack show as we have seen and enjoyed several lumberjack and woodsmen competitions. Unfortunately, this show is pretty lame. To be fair, however, a good Lumberjack show needs a lot more space than you can find on a small stage. One can only hope that it might get better.
