I've seen the plans.

I had them print them on my napkins for me.

Some of the best designs in the world started with a sketch on a cocktail napkin. George McGinnis sketched this on a napkin at the WED cafeteria back in the 70's.

Also if there is more motion and added 3D it might not be so bad, but the comparison to Soarin is a bummer. I think Soarin might be the most overrated theme park attraction.
More motion and added 3D - does this mean ST will have Threepio fly us to Pandora then?

(Would be cool. Eco-natives standoff, Ewoks vs blue sex kittens!)

Just one serious comment before calling it a night (or on this thread anyway), I am convinced this was leaked on purpose despite it coming and going to different individuals.

Disney is desperate to drum up support and they can't just drop the plans off with Loveable Lou or even the truly loveable Deb Wills.

They need it to look so secret, but while I won't put them up here, if someone links to the plans I wonder if Disney will even go through the motions of asking Steve to take them down. They want the chatter and the talk on this subject, especially with the Fantasyland opening generating a lot of ''it's very nice, but there isn't much to it'' comments and UNI about to wow with its Transfomers announcment -- can you imagine Disney having an inpark, open to fans major announcement? No, neither can I.

This is designed so we start talking about the project they are planning instead of how Mermaid is plastic with the queue being better than the ride or how FP+ is going to ruin many vacations or how many great things UNI has planned.

haha the Ewoks and Navi thing made me laugh. At first I didn't know was ST was, so I didn't know you were talking about C3PO and I was like what? But I got it know.

And to think there are those who say blank Disney napkins are just as fine as the handpainted ones of old!

Did you know that - this was before the Eisner era - that if you ordered a bicentennial burger with orange bird citrus soda some Imagineer would come to your table and handpaint your napkin for you? That's right.

Smokescreens and subterfuge? Sounds about right.

Soarin' would be better if it wasn't the same show from Cali... lot's of potential being in Epcot. Soarin' over Florida or the World seems like a no brainer...

Yes, I had a conversation about that with another fan not long ago. It really needs a new show, I think it'd be great if it went over different natural wonders. I agree with you too, Soarin over the World just makes sense in Epcot.

Yup! Makes sense, would be a good fit and probably a cheaper way to add something new to the park

Remember those plans that came up a while back of the multi level soarin type attraction that moved to different screens on different levels? Could that be this?

I wish it were that ambitious...I'm no architect but I'm not seeing it in the plans. Though the show building itself does seem to be multilevel. I feel like what you just described in your post was Transformers :(

oh no, what have I done...

Erm, I'm sorry, but I was pulling your leg a bit. I was mocking the old fart crowd's (that's me) tendency to idealise the golden age of WDW. Alas, as great as WDW was way back when, there were never any handpainted napkins.

Boy I took the bait. :p
I do know there was a time when I got my mickey ears embroidered for free and it wasn't by some automated machine.

I'll miss you so much!!!

Oh wait... No I won't. Enjoy the blogs where information is posted days late after it's posted here or the information comes directly from the spin doctors in the PR department...we know how reliable that stuff is.

ok...i wish i remembered who posted those blueprints cause they sounded as Lee posted...and those seemed like the Iron man ride

Sounds like blueprints are being passed around. How does one get into that club? I'd be grateful for a look.
