and the tiggers are having a nice skid right now....but, if the mets can sweep the yanks, we play them starting this week, maybe we can sweep them too. And Sean...very nice respose...putting someone down to better yourself...so much for a family forum.

Mad--not really a surprise seeing how they Boston series was so emotionally draining on them. They'll bounce back. Let the Mets have their 15 minutes of fame.

Don't worry, Mad....I've got somebody here to huggle the pain away. :lookaroun

 I'd rather die!

I grew up not too far from Shea & used to go occasionally. My oldest brother was there in 1969 when they won the series...had a piece of the sod for the longest time. (he & his son are the only METS lovers in the family).

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Apu tries to become an "average American." He starts wearing a Mets cap to work and tells Homer "the NY [pronounced "nigh"] Mets are my favorite squadron!"

So now we're going with AAA Affiliates? Okay then....

GO LAS VEGAS 51s!!!!!

Gotta love a team whose mascot is a "grey" with baseball stitching on his head. :)

Go Tigers!

Yes, Brian, I just had to.

Christy...when the Tigers take 2 out of 3 from the Yanks...I say...GO TIGERS too

Seano...

I could sit here and comment on your statements...because I'm a Red Sox fan...tried and true...and not just when they're winning...but...I can see you're doing a good enough job making yourself look bad for me to even bother.

(BTW Sean...there is still a full half of baseball left...and you're right...we'll see what happens when October comes around...and another "btw"...Nomar just came back from being injured...that is why he was on the bench...the team that was on the field was doing a heck of a job against the Yanks WITHOUT his help...why risk him getting hurt when an important series against the A's was coming up?)

Bri, the Sox could have beaten the A's with their hands tied behind their backs, they didnt even need Nomar to win this time! Barry Zito hasnt had a win since the begining of June. Rich Harden has the the same problem. Tim Hudson is on the DL along with Eric Chavez. The only ones who really have done much of anything for them have been Mark Mulder, Scott Hattenberg and Eric Byrnes.

Go Devil Rays!

Okay, so confession time. I had no clue the Tigers had beat the Yankees until we were sitting watching tv the other night (well, Andy was watching tv, I was reading) and Andy says "Huh, the Tigers beat the Yankees again." And my head popped up and I said (a bit louder than necessary, I suppose :o ) "WHAAAAAAAAAT???" (I was thinking of my comment I made on here) And Andy just kinda looked at me with that "What the hell is wrong with you" look that I get so often. So I said "Er, I didn't know that... happened." :lookaroun

And so he patted me on the head and sent me off with a lollipop.

Yea, The Reds beat the Brewers. Yay, yay, yay. Whoopee. Go Reds.

Ya know, as bad as they have played the last 3 weeks, they are still in the middle of the wild card race. Here's hoping they are not sellers in the trade market.

As for the Yanks, I have one thing to say. . .Go BOSTON.

No offense meant, but at times you get a bit tired of the same teams all the time. Happy to see the Braves struggling. Happy is a strong word, but I am glad that someone else is getting a shot. So how aboot a rematch of the 75 Series. . .
