If you're talking about the sign, which I think you are, I'd also love to have a "future that never was" equivalent of that sign.:D

If you're talking about the vehicle set-up, no thank you; in one word "uncomfortable".

Are you kidding? I have to Crawl out of the current vehicles and have to sit alone on the Matterhorn. Talkin' about the sign.

Ewwww...no thanks. Way too "Yesterdayland" for me.....:hurl:

Not the EXACT old one, a new shiny Rocket with Space Station 77-esque astronauts and cool LED lighting illuminating the passengers, the Pillars and of course the brand new SPACE MOUNTAIN sign above the Rocket.

^Eh, not bad. I do hope Disney goes for something classy and futuristic instead of the more sci-fi/cartoonish look the entrance of Tomorrowland currently has.

im more concerned the tta is closed. spacemountain was the most uncomfortable ride in wdw so was never at the top of my list but closing the tta im upset. im at wdw in may any chance might be running?

Don't Worry:lookaroun I agree I loved TTA! It will be closed throughout the whole entire refurbishment that I heard from somewhere! They will though touch it up though:sohappy::sohappy:

Nah...Sci-Fi is the theme of all Tomorrowlands now. Forget the future, they gave up on that theme a while back.
I'm glad. I like the "future that never was" look.

NEVER!!!! :fork:

:lookaroun

 ;)

Still, I dislike the whole sci-fi thing. I'd still prefer a Tomorrowland to look like something that could happen in the future.

That's cool....and agree to disagree deal. :)

I'm still hoping for Eddie Sotto's Sci-Fi city concept to show up somewhere...

Don't wish for HKDL's set-up! There's no interior queue! You walk through the door and essentially immediately onto the load platform. Talk about ruining the illusion. I do dig the metal spires on the mountain though, and definitely appreciate the lighting design as opposed to the "just shine white floods" approach that WDW has taken for so many years. Sad too because after New Tomorrowland debuted, they lit it colors at night too.

Yeah, I like the look much more than the actual physical layout.
An exterior lighting package seems like a no-brainer...but...it is MK after all...

Well, to be fair, painting it all the same color seemed like a no-brainer as well. Look where that went.

I think he was just referring to the lights on the sides.

I should have clarified what I meant about Tokyo's new cars. I want the design of them, not the actual cars. As I said, there is zero audio on them. They just have some really cool looking bodies and lights on them.

I LOVE the future that never was look too. I'm always wowed every time I go through the avenue of the planets. I wish they would extend that out more through the rest of the land.

Besides, leave the realistic future stuff to Epcot.

you like which "future that never was" look? The 50s/60s "Jetsons/comic book" version they have in orlando? or the victorian "steampunk" design they did in paris and tried in anahiem? or perhaps the 80s "cyberpunk" sci fi future (The REAL future) look that would be inpired by George Lucas, Ridley Scott, and Phillip KDick?
