The last I heard was a UK attraction should still happen. Though I admit that was before a conversation I had last week about revaluation of capex.

Im thinking its smaller things like we wont see a replacement for circle of life, the coco overlay, seas update, spaceship earth update etc?....or is this bigger scale? Hopefully though the spine mess is axed, at least in terms of the bad proposals. Would still like to see it updated but they dont need to demo the whole area for goodness sakes.

Disney has been printing money on almost All fronts and the best division has been parks and resorts... you’d think they’d want to go crazy upgrading the parks. Give people a reason to stay just one more day...
Unfortunately, people don't like taking 'risks' no matter how safe it'd be for Disney. It's easier for them to spend less and increase their profit margins than build new stuff to increase cash flow.

This is the problem with America today... we used to be risk takers, innovators... that title has been given to the Chinese. We're just so far behind because corporate America simply has too much power.

They know they don't have to because they can do nothing, raise prices and people still come because it's "Disney". They blow this message that YOU HAVE TO VISIT DISNEY! and when people come they spend bank, especially those people who go for their first visit.

I know. It's just frustrating to watch when you know they have the funds to go far above and achieve what they have been.

Nope...make money without spending a dime every 90 days...that's what the STREET likes

Should we start fearing that what happened to the Coco attraction might happen as well to the UK attraction?

That coco thing never existed?...at least not beyond the "conceptual smoke" level...

It didn't pass the sniff test...the sniff test is right about 90% of the time...rumors come in below that average

Oh, it was higher than that. Almost a dead cert. Almost.

...but...now...it's very much "alive"

I give you the respect of not shooting the messenger...

But you know how fast they move on things and that was a brand new movie. A bit square peg in a round hole.

Back in the archives room...always ready for a dust off.

Thing is, that will work for a while, but long term it will cause problems for Disney.

The thing is, one could argue that the acquisitions were forward thinking investments. The parks, not so much...

No argument...but spending money on/in parks is just an upfront expense on the pee ons to the movers and shakers just never accept that it leads to money.

We know this. I got back from 8 days...after the longest hiatus of my adult life...it's painfully apparent that they are completely overrun and the experience is suffering.

It's a "fastpass" and out environment now. And 30 minute waits for those. Uncomfortable beyond that.

The good news for Disney is: most aren't old timers like me and they don't have any idea what they are missing.

$125 and up for a single day ticket to an amusement park...and you really aren't permitted to ride the rides in so many cases. It's destructive groupthink of the highest order.
