Yeah.
I'm not sure how I want this to end.
Part of me wants the guy taken alive so he an answer for his crimes, part of me just wants him dead so we don't have to hear his rambling justifications for what he did.

Just heard about the boat. They say they can see him, and they have hundreds of police/military/SWAT vehicles near the scene.

Sounds like they are most worried about bombs with him at this point.

Now they are saying that they don't think he has explosives. They haven't seen a suicide jacket or any pipe bombs. They aren't 100% sure either way.

Multiple explosions have been heard. Could be gas injections. Probably isn't flashbangs, because you wouldn't throw more than one of those.

One of the local radio stations (WSB-AM) has been running promos today hoping he gets killed. Not commentary that "does not necessarily reflect the views of this station," but editorial/news promos with just the station's name.

CNN is wrong.

I'm listening to the police bands. I posted the link. They've thrown 8 so far...reported no movement on the boat for the past 15 minutes or so.

Yeah, they said it is flashbangs now. That was just someone's opinion. I don't understand why they would throw 8 though. Perhaps just to make sure they actually got the flashbang in the right spot.

Yes. They are trying to disorient him while they decide who is going to take lead negotiation and who will be the chief negotiator.

They decided the FBI is taking the lead.

They are positioning now. FBI uses digital encrypted not open band communication.
