Boston marathon

He has unspecified medical needs right now. A trail of blood was found at one point, too. Could be what that is. He's also been without food or water for some time. Spent Wednesday night in his dorm room, though.
I'm listening to/watching the local Fox affiliate and they were interviewing a neighbor to the house who said blood coming from the boat is what led to the police being called.

Was he in the boat all day? How did they notice him? Probably no news yet on that.

The homeowner stepped out and noticed a rip in the tarp covering the boat. When he checked under he saw a lot of blood, so he called the police.

The local affiliates seem to be doing a better job of covering it than the talking heads at the major networks.

What a crock...nothing but punditry and speculation.

Unfortunately this is how it is with all news networks. People want answers, and they don't have any, so they give possibilities instead.

I'm surprised they did the move without a bird up there...the negotiator must have made contact and progress for them...not a rush.

Probably a surrender.

The shield request was probably to isolate the suspect as he was escorted to a vehicle. All supposition, of course...

Birch is right behind Franklin, a bit to the south.

If they are bringing the residents back, that means they've finished the sweep there and found nothing.

Good news.

Residents are standing on the sidewalks and applauding law enforcement when they drive by. Truly great people. Both law enforcement and the residents. Great that people can be strong during these times.

Don't know if this is true, but the suspect's license plate number supposedly read "Terrorist 1."

That's a bit of a tip off, don't you think?

I find that hard to believe since most states have limitations on what can be placed on vanity plates.
