if we can start making reservations in late august then there will be soft openings before woop woop :)

Not necesarilly. The date they start taking reservations doesn't really tell us much about when it will open. They could start taking reservations in August for dates in December, or theoretically the resturant could soft open in early August (although I doubt it will), but not start taking reservations until late August.

Exactly. Anyone hoping for more info about when it will open didn't get that. But at least by "late Aug" we should have a pretty good idea of what "the holidays" means.

There seems to be some effort to move towards this. The quick service at Art of Animation features china and silverware. I think they are starting to realize that $10+ entrees on paper just don't give the right impression.

Agree 100%, this is one if the small things that's sets DLR apart from WDW. I only fear based on their track record that this is one PowerPoint away from going the way of Mickey Mouse butter...

I understand that Art of Animation diners have been surveyed extensively about the new china and silverware being used. Hopefully lots of strong opinion on that has filtered through.

No question that DLR quick service is way ahead of WDW currently.

Two questions:

One, will all 3 dining rooms be open during lunch? (Might help with crowds if the entire restaurant is open both both meals)

And two, is says capacity for 500. How is that comparable to other QS locations in MK like Pecos or Cosmic Rays?

I believe that capacity is on a par with those other locations, and most of the value food courts.

I don't believe any info has been released yet about the dining room usage. With the demand they will get, I would expect them to use it all.

Good to know then. I wasn't sure how much the capacity was in relation to the others.

And I would hope they open everything up to help counter crowds. Especially in the beginning. No one wants to queue up for an hour just to get lunch! :p

It's good to see a good CS that actually delivers food, much like Wolfgang Pucks. Let's just hope the food is good, and not cookie cutter stuff that is served throughout the park. A real place to eat dinner with real quality food. Fingers crossed.

From the comments in the DPB post:

Real silverware too! And NO reservations for quick-service lunch.

Working out the details if the dinner service will be one table service credit or two.
