So Iger is joining forces with Jared Kushner’s brother? Hopefully the brother doesn’t follow in his father’s footsteps that landed his dad in jail.

I heard Chapek tried to get WDWMagic shut down, so the BoD decided that was the last straw......

I know thinking is hard, but you're mixing up several different things. Strange World does not involve the T issue. It's all under the umbrella of what Chapelle called the "alphabet people". It's just that the "T's" are sorta in the spotlight now but it's all virtue signaling identity politics...

So what are folks expecting of Iger 2.0 that would make him better at running the company better than Chapek? Being a much better PR man or am I missing something?

That's about it, able to handle situations better from a PR standpoint and able to better handle analysts from Wall Street with maybe a bonus to better handle talent from the studios.

I don't know, a lot of the stuff people don't like about post Iger Disney was started/spearheaded by Iger.
Besides the PR thing I have no idea.

I hope he gets wdw back on track … Covid aka cutting corners days are over. The rides need to be cleaned maintained daily…it’s a small world boats are filthy , reinstate daily mouse keeping at wdw resorts we are paying for it and ALL trams need to be working EPCOT AND HS!

Chapek is out and Iger is back in because of failures on the media side of the business - especially streaming.
It's not likely to make a lick of difference for any of the parks. Nor is it likely to change much about Disney's strategy anywhere else.

Iger is back because of ESG concerns. This will do nothing to help WDW.

This has nothing to do with the parks and this change will do nothing to help the parks. This is all about ESG.

It's also unlikely to help ESG. Most of the issues there have just as many Iger fingerprints on them as Chapek ones.
The reality for Disney is that the entire media industry has been permanently disrupted, and Burbank doesn't have any more answers than the others do.
