And now back to your normal Disney news cycle.
I think Chapek had already announced the massive layoffs (which are already in compliance with every other company on the market at the moment)... what worst could he announce? Sell Lucasfilm?! (Which would be a blessing in disguise)I think the point was to kill whatever was going to be announced before Chapek could announce it.
Alright folks, since @Calmdownnow won't stop feeding the troll, time to /ignore the one who can't seem to calm things down. You can't count or you would have realized that a majority means more than 50% and you are not in that majority. The vast majority of Americans believe in "one love", the freedom to live one's life, and to be equal before the law. Walt might not have believed in all of these things, but he was a 20th century dude like my great, great grandparents and your great, great, great grandparents. (PS: Let us know when you are able to legally cast your first vote.)

... and this monster!
Like someone mentioned high level talent along the lines of Kevin Feige could leave, or some sort of reorganization. Just spitballing, what if Chapek wanted to kill the Pixar brand because of the recent underperformance? Make all animation releases direct to Disney+? We know Chapek seemed to treat talent as if they were factory workers. No one is vital, so anyone can go and be replaced by another cog. But Iger didn't believe that. He believes talent is important. Stuff like that, is what I'm thinking. But big enough to spook investors.I think Chapek had already announced the massive layoffs (which are already in compliance with every other company on the market at the moment)... what worst could he announce? Everything people hate about Chapek's parks was created by Iger. He built this over a decade and a half. The parks function as he wanted them to.Since this came immediately on the heels of the WSJ article about the intense public dissatisfaction with the direction of the Disney parks, I don't think it us anything less than a complete rebuke of the way Chapek was quickly destroying the brand.
I typically do not take jot in others' demise, but in this case I make an exception.
If iger wants to make a quick, impact full, positive break from Chapek, he would stop the resort parking fees, yesterday.
Ok. I'll stop playing. But you have to admit the troll was enlightening as to how nuts they are.Alright folks, since @Calmdownnow won't stop feeding the troll, time to /ignore the one who can't seem to calm things down.

Revisionist history from camp Iger…when does the Hollywood reporters version come out?Bob Chapek‘s Early Blunders Made It Hard to Escape Bob Iger’s Shadow at Disney
Ousted Disney CEO Bob Chapek's many missteps, coupled with a weak stock price, sent the board back into the arms of his predecessor, Bob Iger.variety.com
You had me until that last sentence, which was hilariousSince this came immediately on the heels of the WSJ article about the intense public dissatisfaction with the direction of the Disney parks, I don't think it us anything less than a complete rebuke of the way Chapek was quickly destroying the brand.
