I would instantly become a fan of his if he announced that the next Star Wars movie would film some at DHS. When was the last time they filmed anything notable at DHS? I really miss those days. Without any filming, he should announce a name change to Disney Hollywood Adventure (yes, I'm joking) or something because it's not really a studio anymore. Of course, I would take a new land over either one of those options.
My guess: He was just receiving in person updates about the park since some big dollars might get approved there in the future and he's too unfamiliar with it to make a decision, so this trip will help him with that. If it is bigger than that, awesome!

The twist would have been a minor annoyance if the rest of the movie wasn't (IMO) terrible drivel. Since the rest of the movie was bad (IMO) the twist reflects that.
