I think it is funny but why would Universal and Disney not show each other around? I know I allow my friends in the business around my plants and restaurants.... Nothing we do is secret nothing they do is either... once it opens it is just good business.

44 pages ... do you guys/gals know something(s) I don't?

I do know that it's now a done deal. That major decisions have been made and that money will be spent. In the swamps. Finally.

No, I don't have details. I wasn't a fly on the wall. ... I just know some other 'bugs' who have been paying attention!

On to the next 44 pages of speculation ... that will bring us to 88 ... and eight is a very lucky number ... in China!

What can I say my friends… Your threats get some serious traffic.

Does this apply to DHS? Or are the rumors of Inside Out going to Epcot or something for MK's 50th true? Some of the BoD were seen at MK, I believe.

I'm assuming this budget is $1.5-2 billion. DHS needs that kind of investment in order for SWL to be done right, for the Pixar expansion to have substance, some mild placemaking in the rest of the park, and to add those two garages/new infrastructure.

Also, does the 3rd track for TSMM or the flex theater on Sunset count as part of the DHS redo? Or do they both have a separate budget?

Time to bust this sucker out again. Once again, thanks @CaptainAmerica ;)

My guess, and this is just a guess, is that it will be at least $2 billion.
At least $2 billion... if DHS gets a $2-2.5 billion budget, I'd guess just about everything except Sunset would get something new.

That would be phenomenal. Especially when you consider New Fantasyland was $425 million and Pandora is going to be $500-600 million.

I would think they are separate budgets. Also you would think they'd want Star Wars open for the 50th as it is WDW's 50th as well.

This is the type of budget we all have dreamed about. Even if it is 2B the amount of work that can be done for the kind of investment is incredible! Hopefully infrastructure is not as bad as MK so a ton does not get washed into that bucket. Hopefully this is all new elements besides the parking garages! This is exciting times....

AK is getting love...
HS is getting Love
MK got love and is still getting fixed and plussed
Epecot - Needs love but based on traffic can keep going as is for now with minor fixes

Disney should be taking the management of Universal a big bouquet of flowers....their attendance has shot up because of Universals continued investment and they haven't had to do a thing!

When Pixar Place opened with Toy Story Mania in 2008 it was expected that new attractions would soon be added. It sounds like those changes are in the works again as executives were spotted on September 25th, 2014 outside Soundstage 1. The nature of the attraction lineup is currently unknown, but we have compiled the various Pixar related attraction news below. Possible elements include:

  • Elements of Toy Story Playland from Disney Studios Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland, including the RC Racer launch coaster.
  • As part of Toy Story Playland, a re-themed version of Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree from Disney California Adventure. The modified theme is expected to be based on Woody from Toy Story. This would feature horse-drawn carriages.
  • A variant of the Luigi's Flying Tires replacement going to Disney California Adventure. This would be an outdoor trackless attraction themed around Buzz Lightyear.
  • A Toy Story themed Carousel has been rumored that would allow guests to ride on the backs of Bullseye, Hamm, Wheezy and other characters from the four movies.
  • A re-theming of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playset to "A Bug's Life" Theme
  • A third track for Toy Story Midway Mania will be added in Soundstage 1.
  • An indoor re-imagined version of Radiator Springs Racers
Other possible Pixar components include

  • A variation of Cars Land from Disney California Adventure
  • The Ratatouille trackless dark ride from Disney Studios Paris
  • The Monster's Inc Door Coaster that was rumored to begin construction in 2008
Nothing is definitive at this time, but it appears things are moving quickly and it is expected that Pixar components will be added to the park prior to Star Wars components. The Pixar component would be a portion of a larger scale Hollywood Studios makeover. The links to the larger overhaul rumor as well as Star Wars can be found below:
