I said "An E-ticket (as we think of them today) would have been a disaster in New Fantasyland.
Not if it were designed, built and operated properly. Mermaid could have been. And should have been.

Remember, Es in the past have chomped on 3000+ guests an hour.

Though FP+'would screw with the line obviously.

If they redesign the park along with the rebuilding they can double the capacity. After all the total land size of the studio is larger than MK. Building Star Wars Land and Pixar attractions with whatever else they do they can easily draw MK size crowds. They have the size and IP to attract the large fan base. This is a no lose scenario. Build it and they will come.

I does bother me that the people that make the difference and approve the spending stay in private blocked off areas, ride around in limo's and basically stay away from the guest areas.

Not true. Jack Dorsey has been using Periscope from inside the Magic Kingdom for the past 2 evenings, so there's at least 1 Director in a guest area. I would also guess that Disney has him staying nearby at a Deluxe. There are probably other directors doing the same thing but they don't have the same notoriety so they go unnoticed.

I still need to find out what an E-Ticket is. I am too lazy to look it up.

Back when Disneyland opened up rides were grouped by experience level, popularity, and technological advancements. The tickets ranged from A to E were as A would be something like King Arthur Carousel and E would be Haunted Mansion or The Mine Train.

It took me a while to figure out what an E-ticket was as well when I first started to read these boards.

Edit SYRIK2000 beat me to it.

..I was just seconds away from posting that link. Yesterland is awesome, and probably one of the best historical websites sites for Disneyland and WDW!

I'm surprised, he's the board member most likely to be recognized after Bob.

Something of about this scale and quality but not necessarily the same thrill level, I.e., Pirates and Mansion are also E Tickets.
