I`ve done a bit more digging regarding Italys proposals, and altered a previous composite to reflect the new info; you can see the proposed west restaurant building and the back wall with catwalk. Under the catwalk was a set of arches marking the entrance to the ruins walkthrough (the Colliseum and/or Pompei have been mentioned) and to the rear the show building. The west restaurant is true to the planned one, as is the southern wall. The show building is the correct shape; elevations may be off.

Interestingly, as late as February `82 WED was still planning a full Rhine River show building.

You can still find my similar work of a completed Germany here http://forums.wdwmagic.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23684&d=1169080360 as part of this thread http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=83003 (lots of Rhine River discussion and Showcase concepts)

One note to WDW merchandise; please don`t steal these images too.

Wow, that shows how Italy would have had a true "vanishing point". As it is now, I don't really think it has one except being in the restaurant.
Great job on that!

Funny thing .. I guess when some of you'd know what the lyrics really mean .. you'd run away screaming (extreme cruel violence, sexuall stuff far beyond the "parental advisory" stuff rappers sing)

I know what you mean.... I picked up the English version of Du Hast at the weekend. I`ve had a bootleg for a while but this one is high quality.

Anyhows... about this boat ride in Germany

Something for the Flower & Garden Festival? I know they build stuff between Morocco and France for the Food & Wine Festival, so I'm sure they do for F&GF, too.

No this is backstage, It can only be seen from the park on the 2nd floor of Japan.

Come to Germany and visit Poland, well I suppose it is quite a Germanic theme.
The Rhine is a working river, most of the fairy tale castles are not on the rhine but in Bavaria or on the Mosel-Sar. As for a Polish death camp Im not quite sure how that sells Germany, though given Siemens is a new sponsor perhaps a little a dark ride based on Dachau as a show piece, then a bit about the Stasi, and a tribute to those who died crossing the wall, perhaps Adidas would do something too featuring the pre sports wear days when they manufactured jack boots.

I know why not do a theme on the Pied Piper, though the rodent extermination thing may put off Disney.

I have a feeling you were being SARCASTIC....in NO way was I suggesting that Disney do ANYTHING related to the Holocaust (that would be THE most insane attraction pitch of ALL time), and I never stated that the castles were located on the river, I merely responded to someone who stated the WW2 sites were not of visitor interest when roaming Germany (they are, and YES, it allows GERMANY to collect lucritave tourist dollars when charging visitors for a GERMAN tour service that will not only parade them around the home base, they can then charge travel fees to trek them to Poland in order to visit a labor/death camp that a previous, less-than-popular GERMAN government established) and I mentioned the castles since it is VERY likely Disney will show popular German site-seeing attractions along the river ride, NOT what is literally located on the famous river. So there!
