Boat Ride in Germany?

Like mentioned already, Germany has a full show building sitting and waiting to be used. It currently has lots of chairs and tables collecting dust in there. It's odd to walk the catwalks of that show building and see the amount of space avail and not being used :(

Truthfully our of all the worlds being showcased at world showcase, Africa has the least to offer. I guess you cant complain, because at DAK they KS and its one of the best themed lands in the park, and also Epcot's Africa has no room.

Africa isn't a country either, it's a continent.

Personally I think they need to take out the whole Africa-thing at Epcot now that AK has been around for a few years. It's not effective in anything anymore and the only reason to stop there is to watch those drummers. I'd love to see something else go there. I know, thead drift.

Best Case Scenario: New country w/ attraction, preferably a ride.

Second Best: New attraction in existing country, preferably a ride.

Not too exciting: New Country w/ no attraction.

I would agree with that but,

Most likely to happen = 220' tall Minnie Mouse arm holding magic wand over American Adventure that reads: World Showcase

Exactly. Though I am still a bit scared from seeing the attraction "The Making of Me"... I mean I am all about teaching kids how we are made.. but being at Disney and them showing Sp*rm going to an Egg in cartoon form.... WOW. Now I have seen all HA HA

Why take it out though? WS has tons of space left. If you really want perspective on it, go stand on the second floor balcony of the Mitsukoshi and peek over toward Morroco. It's massive and empty.

a real African country would be fine. Egypt would be very cool and wouldn't overlap with AK. But, as Bush said, Africa is a nation of many problems...

I can see it now... "Mr. Tut's Wild Ride"
Mr. Tut's Wild Ride is a slow-moving journey through Ancient Egypt with Mr. Incredible and friends telling the amazing story of how King Tutankhaman had 80 children before his death at age 19. For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride Mr. Tut.

I had a thought... this is all based on an overheard convo that included the words "boat" "germany" and "epcot" accoridng to Kevin Yee.

Well, Epcot has a boat dock in Germany for Friendships. I think that mystery is solved.

As much as I would love to see another ride in WS, it would be nice for it to be something other than another boat ride, don't you think? :)

You can clearly see the HUGE building in aerial views of Epcot:

Subtracting the space used for the Biergarten, there's still a ton of space. It's comparable to (or bigger than) the Maelstrom show building. The original entrance to the German boat ride was through the archway at the back of the Sommerfest seating area that is filled in with a mural.

A real African country?? What on earth do you consider Morocco? I dare you to go say that to the people who work at that pavilion!

Personally, I'm still wishing hard for Australia - it's a country and a continent! And of course, the main attraction could be Cody's Flight: A Rescuers' Down Under flight simulator :lookaroun

Half a show building. It was going to be bigger than this when used for the attraction, as seen here http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showpost.php?p=2024044&postcount=139

- these images are from an already-discussed-to-death-Rhine-River thread here http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=83003&highlight=rhine+river

Unless they now have a surplus of AA dolls from El Rio and want to use them somewhere new.... :D

I think you're more likely to see Australia in DAK then Epcot
