2. New JII. Blah
3. I MISS HORIZONS AND WOM

However, no matter what, I LOVE Walt Disney World. Nothing will ever change that. I wish I was there now.

Really???

Funny how differently people think. I've always felt as though MGM was VERY Disney.

Yeah, I know. I am probably in the minority on that one. The only thing about MGM that is/was really 'disney' to me in that park was the animation tour. My daughter loves the playhouse disney stuff.

Hmmmmm.....I don't think "Let Down" is the term......

More like "unimpressed" or "confused by the hype"....

For me it still is Fantasmic. I just don't see in it the greatness that many others do. Whether it's becasue of my own personal preference or high expectations, it just fails to excite me the way other Disney productions do. I feel the current version at MGM is barely HALF the production it has the potential to be.

I seem to like a few unpopular rides ( Carousel Of Progress, ).

CoP unpopular?!:lookaroun It is very popular:) It's just that they don't want to spend the money so that it can run year round:(

Don't let the lack of a long line for CoP fool you. Since it seldom runs people don't head that way. When it ran year round, and everyone knew they could expect it to be up and running, there were long lines:cool:

Test Track - it has no heart and has been broken on two of the three times I have tried to ride it. It is not going to save EPCOT, which is headed towards Florida's 21st Century version of Cypress Gardens.

Would it be possible to close the front entrance, have people enter EPCOT through the boardwalk entrance, tour the nations, and enter Mission: Space and Soarin' when it opens, then close the rest of the park? j/k - people waiting 3 hours for Test Track can't be wrong, can they?

I guess I'm just going by people on this board.

That's a whole other thread though - Why DON'T they keep COP open year round? I mean seriously, if anything was the true spirit of Walt Disney, that's it!!!!

Test Track is a great ride. But I think it gets a lot of votes here because many (including myself) were expecting so much more. I love it, but I can see how some are disappointed when they finally ride it.

Along those lines, I think The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is my biggest disappointment. Just like TT, I think the ride is nice, especially if you are a Pooh fan, and my kids love it. But when I first heard about the concept (i.e., being in one of Pooh's dreams) and how much was spent to make it, I was really expecting a lot more. The first time I went on it I was kind of like, "OK, its Snow White with different characters. Why not just keep the Toad?" Anyway, it's cute, but its just a track with some animatronics. Where all that money went (I forget the number), I have no idea. The Department of Defense must get these contracts.

Wow, there's a lot of things people are disappointed with that I'm not and vice versa  Let's see I like Fantasmic, Test Track, the latest version of JII...yes, the original was cute, but the latest one isn't horrible I mean who doesn't love the smelling lab . In all seriousness, I do like it so oh well.

As far as disappointments, I do agree with Winnie the Pooh, especially after seeing video of the DL version. It's cute, but I don't know, something is missing.

Also, IASW is disappointing for the same reason as above. The DL version is so beautiful inside and out and to think that WDW has so much land to use and they don't but I am glad it's going down for a rehab. The prices on food and merchandise is pretty disappointing also

It took me a while to think this stuff up because frankly, WDW doesn't disappoint me, which is the reason I love to return every year :D

I know I will face severe critisism for this but ... Mission:Space was a huge let down for me.:lookaroun I think all of the hype about how intense it was and rumors that people were getting sick gave me expectations of being scared half to death while on this attraction. Don't get me wrong it was ok and I will ride it on future visits but I thought it could be much more intense. Ok, let me have it.

Greatest Disappointment (through all of disney history in my experience)

1) Alien Encounter - I was bored
2) Great Movie Ride - Hated it when it was new, hate it now
3) Kali River Rapids - It's like the first 1/4 of a full ride!

Met and greatly exceeded expectation

1) Tower of Terror
2) Rock n' Rollercoaster
3) Tough to be a Bug

I totally agree. I'm glad I rode it before all the hype about the sickness came out. When I saw the M:S commercial with the kids and parents, I was shocked how they portrayed it.

If there were ever an attraction that would make me support logging, Swiss Family Treehouse would be it. It once had its charms, but I think we need something different and definitely new.

Um, I have to say I was a little disappointed with Winnie the Pooh. Especially when compared to the version at TDL.

This brings up a good point.....

The Treehouse may have made sense long ago when people actually knew who the "Swiss Family Robinson" was.

Question: Does anyone of grade school (or even high school) age even know this story any more??

I was pleasantly surprised at DisneyLand when we saw that it was called "Tarzan's" Treehouse, and decorated with items from the animated film. I remember saying out loud what a good idea it was because "at least kids know who Tarzan is!"

Maybe it's time to make that change at WDW????

Sorry for the unintended drift.....................

My biggest let down is Kali River Rapids. I was expecting to go bumping around down a wide river and seeing all sorts of things. Granted you do see alot but it wasn't like I thought. The only thing that was advertised right was getting wet. It's also really short.

I have heard a lot of good and bad things about Mickey's Philharmagic and Mission Space. I will have to reserve judgement until I go in July. Until then I will try not to expect much so I can be excited when I actually see them.

Speaking of comercials, if you watch the one for Test Track, you will expect to be racing along like the WDW Speedway for most of the time, which we know is not the case.

Test Track's commercial completely skips over all the TEST and focuses only on the TRACK.

I don't mean to bash it. I like it okay, but I was expecting so much more.

Ok...to respond to some peoples "disappointments" this is what I think:
RnRC- I can understand what you are saying that Disney can be so much more than rollar coasters but one you do have to compete but this is unlike any other rollar coaster. There is def. theming in the ride with bright, vibrant and glowing colors and signs and also the music makes the ride! What coaster can you go on that blasts Aerosmith music in your ears!
I like TT....I think it's fun and just serves as a fast ride...

I love Disney so much and it's only that I say these things because I want Disney to be the best it can be.

Ok first off what's the deal with Ariel's Grotto? That is such a waste of space. Do something water themed. Maybe that's where Nemo should be?

Ok in alot of threads I talk about ToT. I love ToT so much I can't wait to go on it all the time...the hotel looks awesome, etc. However, I think there can be more of a story in the ride. That building is soooo huge that a story ride should be put in. So lack of a story line.

JII..made me sad. First off they're ripping off Honey I shrunk the Audience and I feel it lacks the Disneyness that the original had.

Toon Town is a little disappointing...I saw the DL one and I feel like us East Coasters got the short end of the stick.

MGM's back part is slowly dying....The Backlot Tour has gotten disappointing and the fake streets are a waste of space. Do something with them! Make little shops or little rides or rip it down completely and make a few bigger rides. Shutting down the Animation Studio is really sad and the discontinuing of real animation is a TOTALLY different story and I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am about this.

Ok that is my two cents....disagree or not whatever you want! I just want Disney to stay the best in it's field and the fact that I adore being there makes me highly critical.

Someone tell me again, what happened in the original JII? I've probably been on it, but I don't remember the name of many attractions in Epcot.
