The "Legal issues" are that: There is a copyright on Mann's Chinese Theater, therefore, you cannot see it when you first walk in, resulting in the reason why they put the hat up; so that you don't see it when you walk in!

Please keep in mind that this may or may not be true as this is a rumor.

Apart from what I was saying earlier, I want all the old stuff to come back to EPCOT!

Yeah, if you REMOTELY try to tell anyone something new that is really old, you will get made fun of until you stop coming around. That is the problem with America. The bullies. Sorry you are having to deal with this.

nah its ok. i know some people liked the news. that information was for them. i'm not going anywhere. i enjoy wdwmagic, i think its the greatest disney information site out there. and i will continue to write in this forum whether people like or not what i write. i'll let them mock what i wrote...they just know now its not getting to me. they're just being immature.

i had a great experience with that phone call. i have never spoke to anyone from guest relations. and the fact that i was i got excited and began asking her question after question. sure she couldn't tell me a lot but i still felt like it was a great experience and i thought i would share it with the room. =)

It's just The Internets. Realize it's nothing personal. The Internets were invented (thank you Al Gore!) to complain about things
anonymously, make snide comments, and search for dirty pictures. Everything else on the net was just an accident.

we're not being immature. we are acknowledging the fact that nothing of substance has come out of WDW for quite a bit of time and are having some fun with what is available to us while we sit on our bums and wait for something good to talk about.

but then when we told him there was no such thing as a Walt Disney World Imagineer, only a Walt Disney Imagineering, he closed our threads...

just some of the comments are rude and/or mocking what i wrote. i'm a new disneyphile and get excited over every little thing. i got excited when they put trees on the other side of the wall in the fantasyland expansion. i just think people need to be a little more considerate. what i wrote didn't confirm a fifth park. it didn't confirm a pixar place expansion. i asked the questions. she gave me a reply and thats what i wrote.

oh that's right. I was close...I still offered up the juice of his story! That was one of those threads that if you hadn't posted or glanced at the site in 2 hours you missed EVERYTHING... I was late to the party that day unfortunately.

I think I was busy in the threads with the other guy who worked at (both past and current tenses at the same time) and knew for a fact that Disney World was a utopia and that nobody every had any bad or dirty experiences and that the walls at Poly were not paper thin...nor did spiderwebs exist in any of their stair wells. Because he knew...because he worked/works/is working there...so that meant he knew everything.

LOL, dang I wish I had known, I would have done my fair share of harassing him. I love messing with fake people like that and poking holes in their stories and just making them look foolish for being so arrogant. :lol:

Then just be careful when choosing your subject title. Something called "Big wdw news" better actually contain big wdw news. If not, expect a virtual bruising ;-). That pretty much goes for any internet forum these days.

That's really not the issue. We've become conditioned on this site to question "new people" that bring "insider info" because the vast majority of the time, it's nothing more than a kid trying to stir stuff up. And that gets OLD... In fact, I can't recall the last time someone with very little history on the site has brought big info that turned out to be accurate.

Those of us that have been here for a long time have a nose for sniffing out when someone is shooting us straight. Reputation here seems to be EARNED, not inherantly given. And we should all be happy about that, I think... It keeps this site as one of the most reliable and best as far as news and accurate info.

Otherwise, we'd be the DIS. :lookaroun

And I'm not commenting on the validity of the OP or what they posted (although I have my opinions)... I'm just speaking about the overall reaction that you often see on this site.

If someone has a "rumor", they should feel free to post it. People will judge it based on what they know, and people will comment. No one should get upset with anyone for commenting. There's nothing wrong with shooting rumors down. It helps keep the site accurate and the most reliable... Just like there's nothing wrong with positive reactions.

This is a DISCUSSION board, after all. Not everyone will agree with everything that's said. That would make for a pretty boring discussion (which would ALSO make us the DIS). :lookaroun

Sorry that the vast majority of posters here are vultures that sometimes seemingly have nothing better to do with their time than degrade others on a theme park discussion board. I hope that it doesn't discourage you from posting and sharing! :wave:

I agree with this entire post, but surely people (especially us old-timers) can find more constructive ways to go about disagreeing with new posters' information?

And I agree with you! It gets so old. You don't wanna know my first thought when I read this thread. But I just hope we can do this discussion without belittling someone! I think everyone should be able to enjoy these boards. They are awesome. I have been a reader of wdwmagic for about 3 years now. I just think people should be nice. And it shouldn't take 8 pages for everyone to get their rudeness out. I am pretty sure all the mean posts are the same posts with different words over and over at this point. And I am not saying that you have to be all roses and daises either. Just be nicer.
