Kind of, yeah -- but I don't think it's as disruptive there because it's mainly affecting the promenade instead of an area nominally designed for sitting/relaxation.

I'm on board with live performances/streetmosphere that fit theme, but I don't really get the Jammitors or how they make any sense in EPCOT.

No it's not, original Epcot was a stage show performing international performances. There wasn't even a roof then.

My lord, the noise pollution from Communicore Plaza is HORRENDOUS. They have the Macarena absolutely blaring at full volume DURING the SSE light show which completely drowned out the show audio.

It really is. We were there a couple of weeks ago, and thought the same thing.

Not only tacky and out of place, but waaay too loud.

I, for one, can't wait until Hispanic Heritage Month is over and these obnoxiously loud shows are gone. Though I suspect similarly loud and obnoxious shows will take their place.

Do you think I will get use to it, like anything else? I haven't been back to Epcot since they opened all the central hub. I haven't even went inside JOW yet ! I thought I'd maybe want to go for passholder preview but no now after hearing all this and how it looks I'm in zero hurry!

I unironically LOVE the Macrarena but reading that made me genuinely upset. I am hoping that will end up going the way of the MK DJ...

I am usually a lurker but the thought of something I thoroughly enjoy ruining the beauty and relative tranquility of something else I enjoy was just too upsetting...

I wouldn't pin it on whatever festival or event going on. It's a stage and they're gonna use it for shows. It's going to keep happening.

This honestly feels like shocking news to me, but am happy to hear it. Spend any amount of quality time in that area and the entrance plaza and you realize just how many lighting effects are broken. There are some fundamental issues with either the lighting control system, the fixtures themselves, the wiring, or all of the above that need extensive work
