The closer they open anything new at WDW the same time as EPIC Universe opens the better ;)
I am starting to wonder if Disney is cooking something up or preparing multiple things in response to EU. Dont wanna get my hopes up high but I am also interested in the next couple of years of announcements

Calling all insiders - @marni1971 - the site that shall remain un-named has a story out about permits to build a new hotel and pool near Epcot(or potentially IN Epcot), near land and Imagination. Per one tik-tok report by real estate agent Ken Pozek? Has this got legs again? Per this agent, contracts have been awarded for this work.

Yeah, I just saw this also. There have been noticed of commencement or South Florida Water Management District permits for this, and as someone else pointed out BVCC wouldn't be the contractor on a project this size. I watched the tik-tok and he doesn't provide any information on what permit he saw.

That is insane how the future world project and Epic Universe have been under construction for a similar length of time and the whole brand new theme park is somehow way more complete

One is being built in an operational theme park with general population surrounding it, and while I'm no expert I have to imagine that's a factor for construction speed.

god i hope not. The space between land and seas pavilion should be used for rides and attractions imo

Even then. Compare the site of the future world pit and the entirety of EU. Somehow more work has been done on the whole theme park than the FW pit.

Whole lands are built in less time

I don't want to debate, but this argument becomes invalid when Universal literally built Transformers, a multi-level dark ride, in under a year.

All the Epcot "transformation" work is a splash pad, additional greenery, and a rather simple building.

I absolutely hate the Universal vs. Disney fan war cause its dumb and tribalistic.

With that being said, Universal is a lot better managing their time with construction projects. Future world is taking forever to be built when other Universal projects have been built in less time. I accepted the slowness of the project when COVID hit but it's 2023, Disney is past that.

I think we understand the big investment that future world is undergoing. However, the dreamers point walkway and concrete pathways from connections should not have taken this long to complete.

we also understand that Moana is a high-tech splash pad, but again leaving the park in a state of disarray for what seems like a concrete pavement rejuvenation walkway. Seems like a huge undertaking well another theme park is being built in the interim.

How long should it have taken?
