You don't say???

That still doesn't explain why changes to their plans. They were still going forward with everything until now. It seems to me that Disney bounced back just fine.
Sure it does. Once the table top was canceled, plans began for something less and cheaper. We just didn’t hear about it until now. I’m sure Cheaprik was finding every way possible to cut costs while charging the consumer more. Also, supply shortages didn’t help.

So what’s the timeline on this. Could it and the water cycle thing be open by July 2023?
Would have to think it's open by then. They are starting to move on rockwork for Moana, the rest of this isn't particularly complicated other than the festival building (which seems easy to throw up, but who knows), mostly concrete work and landscaping which moves very quickly from dirt to finished product.

It all looks beautiful, and will be beautiful.
A greatly needed influx of life and color to what had become a dated, dull, dreary, and depressing vision of the future.
Hmmm... Dated, dull, dreary and depressing... There's a large mindset like that on this forum.
Not from me. EPCOT should be experimental and evolve… but in the spirit of imagination and a true world showcase of ideas and innovation. That is lacking here.

Talk about spinning around in rationalizations. This plan takes most of the things people claimed were being fixed (but really weren’t) and makes them worse.

Can't be done like it used to be done anymore.
Things are dated before they are even brought before the public.
This is an evolution.
An evolution away from a cold, stark, barren place.

Complaints:
Epcot is dated.
Barren concrete.
Lifeless.
Open and hot.

Fixed:
Colorful.
Live acts.
Shade.
Nature.

Not Fixed - for those who harken for it:
A return to showcases of "tomorrow" that can't be installed because they're dated by installation time.
A return to dark rides that show a future that we realize now will never come.
"Edutainment" that very few people want, and certainly don't go to a them park to find.
