So it is safe to assume that Ratatouille will be the first major step. Maybe accelerated to late 2018/early 2019? What next?
Nothing to share but I saw the 'Racers presentation whilst passing time for RoE one night. It definitely wasn't a fuzzy site plan if that helps. So are the opinions expressed here regarding Project Gemini based on the black and white pixilated site plan and elevation of the former Spaceship Earth/ Timeracers that were circulating on the forums? I had a difficult time forming a judgement on those pieces of the puzzle. Does anyone have concept art they could share?
It would be nice to see Figment get a much needed update with the inclusion of Dreamfinder again. They've been marketing him quite a bit and I haven't mentally decided if I believe it's because they are playing the nostalgia card or if they're actually consider reintroducing him into the pavilion. I know what my heart wants, but I also know that Disney thinks with their pocketbook.
GotG at Studios as a replacement for Rock n Roller Coaster seems like it should be a no brainer unless there is some logistical hurdle or bigger plans for that area preventing it from happening. The only other reason I suppose would be wanting that IP in a park ASAP but not wanting to shut down RnRC while so much of HS is still under construction.
While FW does need love, I would rather have them take their time and do it right. Not just build things as a knee jerk reaction to an IP or overcrowding issue at MK.
Well It does seem Vekoma got their ride prototype working. Who knows if this is what the GOTG ride tech would be but it was theorized by a few including myself.
IMO, I see them scrapping Figment and Imagination if they touch the pavilion. I don't know anything or have any inside information. It just seems like that would be the case.
That's the problem with a lot of the attraction in Future World. Spaceship Earth, Ellen's Energy, Figment and Mission Space all felt terribly outdated when we visited this past December. We skipped Imagination because we have the movie they were showing at home. With the proper budget, the whole area could be great and done in stages. Plus, do something with WoL.Agreed with this. I'd rather they not touch Imagination for fear of them removing Figment altogether. I finally rode it again this week and I felt no joy riding it at all. Ugh. But leave it be, because we all know what will happen. "Be careful what you wish for"
That's why I feel like it keeps being pushed back in terms of project priorities. Don't have to put Inside Out in there if it's faded from the short attention spans of Iger and Chapek. Gives the Imagineers a slightly better chance at pitching the Dreamfinder and Figment reunion that they clearly want to do if there's no IP to compete with.Agreed with this. Please let Guardians be canned, please let Guardians be canned.....
Good to hear Rat may get accelerated as I recommended a couple weeks ago..
You won't.Only if you don't get GOTG in FW you may get it in DHSs ToT.
.
It's true! He also recommended it proceed at pace, slow down, be doubled, tripled or even anchor a new Botswana Pavilion.
Perhaps the top Disney executives read these forums and look for your advice.Good to hear Rat may get accelerated as I recommended a couple weeks ago. They will need capacity elsewhere when SWL opens.
You won't.
There were 2 Figment questions in a recent survey someone posted online. 1) How familiar are you with Figment? 2) How much (1-10) do you personally like Figment? Which I think is unfair, given his representation in the ride. Although his lovable, original nature seems to be making a strong comeback in lots of merchandising.

I just saw this on Twitter and I am shook. They used this same tactic when they closed Pleasure Island. There were 2 Figment questions in a recent survey someone posted online. 1) How familiar are you with Figment? 2) How much (1-10) do you personally like Figment?
