EPCOT wasn't an infrastructure project, it was about urbanism in a specific urban form.
I understand that. I realized that it was supposed to be a city project with new innovations, etc. My only comment is that since that did not happen, this is then next nearest thing to the original EPCOT project. Not a theme park.

Actually...

I'd rather see Guardians take over Energy instead of Tower of Terror...

I mean, if Guardians got scrapped altogether and there was no chance of them taking over any existing attraction, I truly wouldn't complain.

This is a lengthy and over saturated talking point, but I love Epcot and value its' integrity more than I do Hollywood Studios. Don't get me wrong, Tower of Terror is one of the best attractions WDI has ever created, but Guardians in Epcot (not necessarily in Energy, just Epcot in general) is worse to me. But I totally understand where you are coming from, and I largely agree. My preference is no Marvel at ALL in WDW.

As we have repeatedly said...Guardians would be great at the Studios, but not replacing tower Of Terror...Create a Guardians style area for them...maybe in the Indy area as a bridge to Star Tours... I really don't know how to fix that park anymore since the attraction placement seems completely random... SWL should have been in the INDY slot allowing Star Tours to fit naturally in context and be a part of the Star Wars Galaxy...Now it's like Vintage Hollywood, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Muppets in Brooklyn, then back to Star Tours... There is no flow whatsoever...Maybe they should have moved Muppets in it's entirety to the Animation Courtyard and had that much more space for SWL to connect...they could have even used it as the portal to SWL...Get on your Star TOurs starspeeder and fly to another galaxy...exiting into SWL... would have been perfect...

Please let Guardians be canned, please let Guardians be canned.....
Much as I want Guardians to be put in Rock n Rollercoaster instead of either Energy or Tower, this happened in the Mission Breakout tie-in comic...

GotG at Studios as a replacement for Rock n Roller Coaster seems like it should be a no brainer unless there is some logistical hurdle or bigger plans for that area preventing it from happening. The only other reason I suppose would be wanting that IP in a park ASAP but not wanting to shut down RnRC while so much of HS is still under construction.

While FW does need love, I would rather have them take their time and do it right. Not just build things as a knee jerk reaction to an IP or overcrowding issue at MK.

Man, I wonder if there's a remote possibility that somebody in a solid position of authority could be making the case for plussing existing attractions rather than gutting/overhauling/shoehorning IP/whatever other typical issue many of us tend to have around here. Have to feel it would be more economical in many cases, quell worries about losing thematic integrity, and get the message across pretty clearly that Disney is willing to refresh what's there, which would be noticeable to even casual, less obsessive guests.

...I know, we can dream.

I certainly hope so. I really thought the tear everything out and start over mentality ended after Journey into YOUR Imagination.

I would hope Tom Fitzgerald who worked on the original EPCOT Center and wrote the script for Horizons is exercising caution and good sense. Then again he supposedly supported Time Racers so we shall see. I know I have made fun of him in the past for his screen fixation but most of UOE is screen-based anyway.

and well...Time Racers could have been astounding...we don't really know the full story of what the attraction was to be....do we? has anyone seen the full presentation of that concept??
