Big changes at the Studios Rumors

Changes are good, or should be. And the aerosmith could be converted in a day. Its a movie. the rest of the attraction, except for the ride soundtrack, has nothing to do with aerosmith, its les paul and history of guitars and recording devices. TSMM, im not there enough to get high scores, i ust like the whole experince, as most visitors are. i will notice a change since i do go three times a year though. Not big changes in my mind, but progression. Star Wars will be a nice improvement, 3D.

but have you ever watched on travel channel when they did a thing on disney world and they were talking about the ride, they said it took forever just to get the music down for the ride because of all the syncing and everything. and honestly i don't think they are just gonna get rid of aerosmith i mean seriously, why would you get rid of a big band for some stupid generic theme?

As i said, they could do all the prep work after hours... or using modern tech do it off site and then spend a few days after hours making sure it works before taking the attraction down for referb...

the queue is posters which can be changed out easily, then there is the preshow... which they could record a new one as prep work, and install it during a few days downtime. the load station has small references which could be changed out... same for unload. the interior doesn't really need to change much at all, just a new soundtrack.

I would hate to see the band change, but this attraction, from a guest stand point appears to be set up that it could be done relatively easy.

I'm really excited for the Tower of Terror changes, mainly the posibility of a unique projection lighting package. (I can only hope.)

Toy Story Midway Mania has to be getting some sort of update. With Toy Story 3, it's the perfect time for it. I think California would also get the update.

Rock n' Roller Coaster is probably getting just a clean-up, but a more permanent queue-less wait system could also be done. From seeing it in action when they did the test a few months ago, it seemed to work well once you get past the initial confusion of the change. If you wanted to sit and do nothing and wait on a wall, you could, otherwise, there was a DJ you could dance to, video games to play, and of course snacks to eat from The Rock Station (for a price). As far as dropping Aerosmith, I'd be sad, but I know eventually some day it would probably happen. My guess is that day will come later in the future with a vehicle upgrade to be able to do something similar to the Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rock-it at Universal where you can pick your own soundtrack. I could see the ride featuring multiple choices to please everyone's tastes. Of course, alternate replacements I'd love to also see would be Red Hot Chili Peppers or No Doubt.

This summer, Studios is probably going to be similar to what is currently being offered this week and last week. Nightly Fantasmics, multiple performances of Mulch, Sweat, and Shears near the hat, Citizens of Hollywood (and possibly Citizens of New York?), more showtimes, atmosphere, and nightlife.

I was thinking the same thing. Nothing in this thread is major by any means.

You mean to tell me the swap from Bo Peep and her sheep to Rex and Trixie somehow sounds inferior to the Forbidden Journey E-ticket? I don't know what world you are living in...Disney does it again!! :hammer:

The news is neither overly "big" or "new." But, it does provide a nice change from the recent news we've been getting out of WDW recently....

Always good to see some change, but I wouldn't call them major. I don't have any info on it, but should a new game come into TSM, it will be nice for the regulars to have something new, but for most people a change in a single game will go un-noticed.

How is overlaying an existing attraction not a major change? Isn't that what 75% of what Uni is doing with the harry potter attractions? Truthfully, they are only building 1 new attraction, the other 2 are re-hashes ...

While a simple TS3 overlasy may not be as noticable, I'm sure most guests would notice holiday overlays... especially since they would be marketed heavily as a new or modified experience..

Someone on this thread (not you steve, of course) also stated that they didn't feel RNRC was an e ticket ride...... Why would you EVER feel that way? The scale, quality, and entertainment level is set so high.. Why would it be anything BUT an e ticket?

I think we're all getting a little spoiled these days..

If Areosmith were to go, I think they should make it into Phinease and Ferb's Rockn' Roller Coaster.

"Hey Ferb! I know what we're going to do today!"

Cheeze ball? Yes, but in a oh so fun way. :p

That I could almost get behind but I think Phineas and Ferb would be a much better fit for Epcot.

I guess the bar was really lowered on "big changes".. Either that or jt has lost it.

If you call these 'big' changes, what will you use to later describe the addition of a new "E" ticket attraction or even a new land for the park?

Of course, if these really are what passes for 'big' changes now, then that next "E" ticket will be something on the scale of the Stave Church in Norway. Somehow I was expecting better from The Little Mermaid...

And replace them with who? (And no, I don't mean The Who)

Oh, so you're referring to Doctor Who? :)

That would make for an incredible attraction, but can we make it an omnimover Tardis, please. :)
