My favorite reaction was the first kid with the curly hair. He looked truly horrifed!

A random dad tricked me into trying it a couple years ago...we both laughed pretty hard afterward....him at my face, me at how gullible I was! Talk about being completely blindsided. He looked so innocent in his Mickey tshirt and pack. Touche random dad, touche.

Hah! That was hilarious...I love club cool and I always try to trick the fiance into drinking it ...usually try to convince her I'm drinking the ginger ale and ask if she wants to finish it!

In 2003, we went in this place when it was "Ice Station Cool" and I remember trying the Beverly flavor. I remember it tasting okay at the beginning and then all of a sudden turning really bitter. On our last trip I completely avoided it and will again this year.

it's pretty bad if you are expecting the sweet soda taste.

It kinda reminds me of fizzy dandelion tea...with a hint of cough syrup.

My friends and I have actually turned it into a contest. We dubbed it the "Beverly Chugging Contest". You take 3 cups of Beverly and 1 cup of soda of your choice. Whoever can finish all 3 Beverlys the fastest wins. The 1 cup of soda of your choice helps wash it down and get the taste out of your mouth.

The faces are priceless, but be warned that the first time you do this you may feel nausea afterward with bitter overload. Your mouth will water alot too. Beverly is an appetite stimulator after all.

Now a days, I don't enjoy Beverly, but I can stand it better and don't get sick.

After years of readding an viewing pictures and video clips of Epcot guests trying to down a taste of Beverly, I finally goy my chance in 2007, and 2008, and 2009.

I tasted Beverly and it tasted fine. Had a slight aftertaste but it reminded me of what I drink all the time at home - Zwack Unicum, made in Hungary. Just like Zwack, Beverly is like an apertif that is meant to clean the pallete before a meal.

Chalk me as one who loves to drink Beverly and shock those who can't stand it. Maybe it's my Hungarian / European heritage, but I'm accustomed to it.

To me it tastes like cough syrup. It has a delayed reaction but then it hits you and...:hurl:

I have some video clips I could share for those interested:

January '09 we got my brother to try it. He had read how bad it is but tried it anyway. Good sport.

In May '09 my brother, in turn, had his daughter's sample the Beverly's goodness. Hang in to the end of this one. My niece sums it up well. More good sports.

I also have some fab video of my sons, another niece, and ME doing a Beverly sampling at the World of Coke in Atlanta. We all knew better but it was fun anyway. Even when you know it tastes bad, the nastiness level can be shocking.

We also saw a group of teens doing a Beverly challenge outside of Club Cool where there are some benches. We couldn't resist sticking around to watch. Apparently, one of the kids was supposed to chug 12 little cups of the stuff. He got about 8 in and started heaving and gagging a little. He choked it down for #9 but #10 was too much. He totally yacked all in the bushes. We laughed and laughed right along with the others. I know it's horrible but it's one of those things you just can't help but watch.

I've never tricked anybody into tasting it, but I did unwittingly taste it myself. I was very excited to see what all the beverages from around the world tasted like, and it was horrible.

ohh fun Beverly! I developed a taste so I could convince unsuspecting guests to try a cup. I basically try it around a possible victim then start bragging about how great it tastes, then I go in for the kill :D. I got this one dad to try it and we laughed at the result then we both went after his family til everybody had a cup of Beverly, Man he couldn't stop laughing and telling them how I tricked him lol, the castmember just looked at me and said....You're EVIL:ROFLOL:

My husband LIKES it!
I thought he was just kidding because I told him how terrible it was but he kept going back for refills and was trying to see if he could buy it in the US:eek:

It is my husbands absolute favorite thing... I swear. He too, want's to be able to buy it here, lol...
Disgusting! :hurl:

Again, Beverley is an aperitif (to cleanse the palate) and is an acquired taste; if you don't like it, skip it, or (fool some unsuspecting soul) but don't tread on us who know that it works as designed. :)

I guess I'm officially "simple folk". I get the concept of cleansing the palate. Water works well for this. Beverly is more like a diet drink. Take a sip...appetite gone! Gosh! Are we sure it can't be purchased in the US??? :lookaroun
