Opinions? Le Celier don't count because I am already going there...

If possible I've had steak from the following places...PLEASE don't reply with reviews on these options. I've already ate there and we are eating there again.

Coral Reef
Teppan Edo
Tutto Italia
Grand Floridian Cafe
Chefs De France

So if anyone knows another hidden gem thats only going to cost me one table service credit then start naming some places!

Each trip we like to try a new restaurant. Last trip was Kona Cafe and I had a great steak.

Teriyaki-style New York Strip - sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze served with sticky rice and stir-fried broccolini $27.99

My husband LOVES the New York strip at the Coral Reef. He swears it's better than Le Cellier. We've gone there every year for the past 5 years for dinner so he can have that steak.

The best steak at WDW i ever had was at Shutters at CBR. Maybe it was because it was so unexpected, but, man, was that a great piece!!

Shutters isn't destination dining though. The steak was very, very good at Les Chefs de France.

I never thought I would be saying this, but the steak I had at the San Angel Inn was incredible! They had totally changed up the menu since then last time we were there, so it threw me way off. Ended up ordering the Sirloin con chili relleno, and was very pleasantly surprised! Ordered along with a pitcher of Red Sangria and it topped off our valentines dinner perfectly... Not my top choice, but it is in the top 5 I have had on property.

I know it's not DO/O, but is Paradiso 37 on the DDP? I'm too lazy to look it up. Their skirt steak is one of the best steaks on property. I love a good skirt steak. Such an under appreciated cut, but difficult to tenderize and cook. But they do it so well.

I've now had it 3 times and am most CERTAINLY looking forward to my 4th.

Haven't eaten steak at any of the places you mention, but I will say that one place you do NOT NOT NOT want to order steak is at Sci-Fi Dine-In at the Studios... Worst meal of the trip. Blech!!! :hurl:

I had the Teriyaki New York Strip at Kona last December and it was awesome. Also had the Prime Rib at Olivia's and it was really good as well.

My son, who is a real steak lover, swears by the steak at Tony's Town Square. He gets it every time we visit. He is extremely picky, and swears it is as good as Le Cellier. Plus the setting is very romantic for you and your fiance! Try to get a table by the fountain!

Just a couple of thoughts triggered by this thread.

1. You could get a hamburger at Pecos Bills and call it ground steak.

2. Over the past few years I've come to like pork chops better than steak, particularly grilled ones. If you come across any really good ones at WDW, pse pass it on.

Thanks
:)

I agree about skirt steak. Have not had it at Paradiso 37. If you like skirt, try onglet (Hangar steak) - it is even harder than skirt to cook right, but it's flavor is worth it. It hangs (hence the name) from below the diaphram, so it picks up the irony flavors from all then interal organs.

I am suprised that they do not have it at Chefs du France. Steak Frites - Hangar steak with thin french fries au jus is like the French late night equivalent of Hamburgers or Pizza.

I love a good steak as much as the next person, if not more. I have tried steak at WDW several times and simply will not spend that kind of money on the quality. The absolute best steak I have had there was at Boma when they have carved Prime Rib. I have not been there since 2001, but it was in the top 5 best steaks I have ever eaten. I will be trying it there again in 9 days. I can let you know how it is this trip.

I really enjoyed the NY strip steak at Turf Club at Saratoga Springs, and it's a restaurant that rarely seems to be busy. The grounds are lovely, and if you're planning on spending time around DTD, be it shopping or going to Cirque or a night at the movies, whatever, it's a boat ride away.

I will echo San Angel Inn. In Sept 08 we went and I had the Filete Motuleno and it was awesome. Liked it enough to go back Sept 09 and have it again!
