BAH(on tv)

When I visited Disneyland this summer, I took a side trip to Hollywood and texted my mom a pic of the Chinese theatre.

She wrote back "Where is that...Disney?" :lookaroun

Yes.

And yes, that was a horribly constructed post, grammar wise.:brick::lol:
No worries...wanted to make sure I responded to what you actually said.

A good deal of it, I'm sure. She visited once or twice when I was on my CP but other than that, my parents haven't been since I was a kid.

I just think it's funny Disney blurs the lines between itself and the "real" world for some people. If everyone were like my mom, then I might agree with Servo about the CT. :D

I was wondering the same, so I yahoo'ed it and it is inappropriate for this site. BAH "big (-noun - a long-eared, slow, patient, sure-footed domesticated mammal, Equus asinus, related to the horse, used chiefly as a beast of burden) hat".

so BAH is referring to the people in the rented ECVs that only got them to jump lines?
except they are usually the least patient of all.

Well, in that case, it works. I really do doubt that it's thought of like that....seeing that Disney did do something about it.

The wrong thing, mind you.

Tear down BAH and that dumb 'earful (yuck.. I HATE saying that) tower'.
No love for the Earful Tower, Jer?:lookaroun

Seriously, though...It would work, but I still think that it needs to be more identifiable for DISNEY and it's brand. That's the only problem.
That's what I think too. The Matterhorn got mentioned earlier, so I gave it some thought to compare the two. I think the MH works as an iconic structure — but if it were the central weenie at DL, I don't think I'd be wild about it, since it is a representation of a real-world place.

Same with the CT. For me, it works as one of many, but not The One. Like I said earlier, I think Studios has several icons, but no singular Icon®.

Exactly.

What is CT, though? Chinese Theater?

And I think all the parks have many icons....and in that, they are weenies.

Si, Chinese Theater. :D

You're right, the parks all have multiple icons...but only 3 of them (in my opinion, anyway) also have an undisputed Icon.

seeing that WDI didn't put a defined "THIS IS THE ICON" icon in from the beginning.

I told you...They DID. I've heard them say it. Marketing however, has always hated it. Maybe for your reasons. Whatever. Like I said, screw marketing. I'm picking the icon I like. If you like Team Earful then go right ahead, we are at least united by disputing the Icon MARKETING wanted.

(I will tell you though...Backstage? All the Cast Members consider it the true icon too. I am (not) alone. :lookaroun  )
