I just recived a bad rep. from Anon. they said "Which one is it? wishes? whises? Damn, I thought the students were coming out of school dumb, but now I know why! (oh yeah and leave the bible quotes off board. that's not appropriate)" my question is what is wrong with my Signature. That is mine no one elses.

I find your sig offensive, BUT I did not not leave you any rep for that... I am a bigger person than that. :lol: :wave:

I also find Gregory's sig offensive... (because he is constantly whoring his site here). Which is against the forum rules BTW... but that is another story... :lol: :wave:

I find nothing offensive about your sig. Just like I would have no problem with a muslim putting a scripture from his or her bible or a jewish person putting a verse from his/her bible.

Nobody likes to get bad rep. Don't fault dreamteacher for coming to chit chat to complain. I did the same thing the first time I got blasted only because it is surprising and I guess the natural reaction is to say, "am I okay with all of you?" It wasn't to solicit good rep, although giving green boxes is a very nice gesture. I recommend giving. It feels good to do so.

As for the signature, I re-read it to be sure, but I don't see anything offensive about the language. Love. Giving. Sacrifice. There is no request for the reader to do anything or to go to another website. It doesn't invite offensive retaliation.

dreamteacher, go in peace. don't worry about the bad rep. you will be all right.

I love to read people's signatures, I think it gives a little insight into their personalities. The only ones I would find offensive would be obscenity laced ones or those advocating violence. (my 2 cents) :wave:

A lot of people do not like religion very much - either because they are fed up of people telling them they are going to burn in hell for not agreeing to their particular take on a diety, or due to the big time suffering caused all over the planet in the name of one god or another.

As for the cracks relating to eduction, these relate simply to spelling mistakes. Something we are all guilty of.

Sounds like the English teacher is having a bad day! (Not you the person who left you bad rep)

Your signature is yours to do with as you please! Free speech and all! Unless of course you live in a third world country.

If people don't want to see signatures, I believe we have the option of turning them off in our control panels!

The only reason I could see for someone taking offense with the signature is because the words come from the Bible. The same exact quote from any other source wouldn't raise an eyebrow. There's nothing in there trying to proselytize or condemn anyone. Any number of quotes about love from John Lennon or Mahatma Gandhi or Mother Theresa could go in that space and no one would say anything, but because those words happen to come from Scripture, they become offensive. Interesting.

ROFLMAO!! Nothing like the petty and obnoxious to brighten one's day. (Kinda like the person who left dreamteacher that glorious rep!!) Come on, people! In dreamteacher's defense (and my apologies if this was stated before, I skipped page 2 :lookaroun ) when you first join, it does feel like you're trying very hard to get in with the "in crowd", and having stuff like that happen doesn't make one feel welcome.

Hey, I follow a different belief system than that, but if I were going to give someone neg rep, it sure as heck wouldn't be because they believe something other than what I believe and want to share it with others. If I was told by that person that I was evil and going to burn because of it, then maybe, but not for just sharing a verse they hold close to their heart.
