Backlot Tour Closing?

It was supposed to be a "studios" park to counter Universal of course, but if you look at Universal, that isn't their game any longer in FL, and frankly neither is it Disney's. This is a dying vestige of another era, that if they chose to maintain it, fine, but it just becomes less and less year after year. There aren't the facades and large set pieces to look at any longer. Make a commitment to keeping this current, and I'm all in. If not, let's put it out of it's misery and make a Star Wars land, or something more to do in this park. It's a lot of real estate to give up for something like this.

Do they even do this anymore? I rode the tour three times in 2011 and every single time we were ushered straight past the Pearl Harbour thing straight in to the trams.

I was there roundabouts July 4th, 2013 and they skipped the Pearl Harbor pre-show. I think it might've been because the ride had been shut down for a little because of rain, so there was a pretty long line.

I'd hate to see DHS become like the other Studios-esque parks (both in Disney and Uni) in that they just become a park to house miscellaneous attractions that don't fit well anywhere else or that other parks don't have space for. Fort the sake of ToT and GMR, I hope that they keep the park's overall theme and just give it the rides and refurbs it needs. If not, then just pick a new theme and stick to it.

It should simply be themed as a celebration of the love of the movies. That encompasses mostly any IP Disney would have.

Hilariously, the Disney Channel offerings would not fit (though, they should).

They must... with Idol closing, and rumors of Backlot closing... and unconfirmed rumors of Indy closing... I think SOMETHING good is happening. Let's have faith. :angelic:

I definitely do.

Now if the backlot closes, they should definitely sell off the props back there. To me, because there was some cool stuff there!
