nope... just the widescreen... cause of the mis-matted (letter box-blackbars) dub.

Got my set yesterday from Christie's parents... Christie and I were watching them today. I love those movies, and I think Christie has a good liking to them too. I doubt the matting issues will bother me at all, I'm not picky enough to go through the trouble of sending back the movies.. besides, maybe if i have the defectives ones, they'll be worth more one day or something lol...

Got mine yesterday also, can't wait to watch them. No one had mentioned yet and I was surprised and happy to see that is that the release is presented in one box as one "Big Movie" rather than packaging three DVD cases as a seperate movie in a Box Set. This makes me happy sense the movie is one long story, and it is being sold that way.

:sohappy: :xmas:

Boy, that'd have been really cool! You mean it was packaged like the Simpsons DVDs, that you go "unfolding" the cover to see the CDs stored in there?
Ours is a box set, but I haven't seen them being sold separately like I've seen the Mr. Bean DVDs/

It's a Double Clamshell Case, sorta like the Vault Disney DVD cases, only the second section has part 2 on the left hand side, and 3 on the right.

So yours actually has a seperate case for each movie?

Yeah, as if they could be sold separately, in a black box with the back of the DeLorean and the fire trail.

Now, kind of a thread drift, but anyone owns the first season of the Simpsons? My broher gave it to me for Christmas, and I thought it was a bit weird that there's no booklet or anything included. So I was wondering if this normal or mine is wrong.

The only two games that make me hate GameCube are Kingdom Hearts and Dragonball Z, I hope they port over some day, then GameCube will once more reign supreme. (I never thought I'd love a Nintendo system again since my old NES days... oh well)

Did you play Back to the Future on the NES? I barely remember that, but I think it was crappy hard like most movie tie in games at that time.

I agree...Kingdom Hearts makes me want a PS2 BADLY!

But, I love the GameCube...very fun games...(but then again, I also loved N64) I never really liked SuperNES

OK Finally got around to watching the movie on Disc One.

Anyway, here's my question:

Why doesn't Marty's Parents recognize him from that night they first met? I mean his mom was close and in the car with him for some time, and he has the same clothes on, and is named Marty for crying out loud.

Also to make this thread Disney... I was shocked to find out Disney was approached to make this movie. Look at the Irony now with Universal Orlando and BttF ride just up the road.

This is too easy - Am I walking into a trap? :lookaroun

The folks did not recognize Marty because that was before he was born.

Horizons1,

I think that where Doc goes at the end of Part III is totally up to your imagination! :)

Rumor was they ended it like that ... in case they ever wanted to do a Part 4 ... it was still an open story in a sense... and would of been easy to pick up where Part 3 left off... and it is also a use your own imgaination type thing....

Bob Gale & Zemekis were interviewed last year(before the DVD set was announced)... and said he will never make a Part 4... so it ends there :(

I watched a little bit of the DVDs. Have you listened to the interviews with Bob Gale? I just watched the one on Back to the Future part 2.

I thought the whole thing with Disney being the only comany to think of it as "too risque" was pretty funny :)

I really didnt know a lot of this stuff before I watched the DVD, but I thought it was funny when Sheinberg opposed making what could be the "most expensive movie ever made", then later went on to make Waterworld...

I bought this dvd a couple of days before christmas and I've watched every day till school started. I know all the anicdotes things already ,and know almost ever scene of the movie. I love this movie.

Well, Disney thought it was too risque because of the whole "mom/son" relationship.

Marty was named Marty because of Marty :) The parents named him Marty because of their friend in high school that brought them together.

Grrrr... i kinda found a flaw... well not with my DVD set.., but I think the DVD driver in my PS2 does not like the "animated antidotes"... they will only show up half way... or they will show up all the way... and get stuck.. then I have ro FF>> a few frames to clear the stuck text on the bottom of the screen. GRR... I have not played my discs on my DVD player yet though... but I sure they will work fine there.

Yeah. Yeah, i thought of Alll that... But come on you shouldn't forget your first date and kiss, especially after Biff was slugged. It should click in their mind that Marty looks just like Marty. Especially his mom... she saw him in his Underwear and spent a lot of time with him, I just don't "buy" it. ;) Overanalyzation... yeah, I know.
