Then maybe that's where the little DeLorean I have with the cartoon Doc sticking his head out is from. I found it lying around at Universal in 94, I think.

Yep...thats it! :) They were recalled to... I forgot why they were though.

Thanks you guys, you have helped me figure out what to give my husband for Christmas. It's so hard to shop for the man who has everything!

This is a very good set!!!

I watched all 3 last night and all of the deleted scenes, outtakes, making of the DeLorean, and the Hoverboard tests...I haven't watched any of the interviews though.

Cccccccoooooool...

UPS did not drop mine off yet

I went to best buy last night to start my x-mas shopping... saw the watch...its ok...standard free-bee... Target is giving away free BTTF key chains with the widescreen version. :)

oh...and out of a huge display in the middle of Best Buy...they were only like 2 full screen sets left...and about 5 wide screen versions left...so they are selling like hotcakes.

I was originally going to go with the full screen but I figure that I'll have a widescreen tv within a year or two so I went for the widescreen format.

Never buy Full Screen, and never say that again. :brick:

You're paying for them to cut off parts of the movie.

I picked mine up at Circut City for $39.99 yesterday. I got like the 2nd to last copy there but they might of had more in the back. Haven't even got through all the extras on the Part 1 yet. Hey at least I've got something to do over the break.

You bet! The Die Hard Special Edition DVD comes with a little featurette explaining the difference, editing the same scene both ways. It's really alarming to see it like that. That was how I convinced Julia that "the stripes are GOOD".

Yeah...I think Monsters Inc. has something like that.

Ok... I got my set today...

:sohappy:

First off let me say I am verrrrrrry happy.. I watched most of the special features on the 1st and 2nd discs. Part one is very good... Color is vibrant and the widescreen rocks! No Need for DTS on these discs... Dolby Digital is just as good...no noticable diffrence anyway really.

I have noticed some matting issues in the widescreen version of Part 2 though... and this has been discussed at length on a few home theater fourms.... Just an example.. Marty's coat in part 2... after they land in the ally... Doc goes to hit the adjust button on the coat... well due to mis-matting of the orig to dvd.. a lot of that is clipped.. cant see what doc is doing... parts of the DMC are clipped due to poor matting as well...

Universal "might" exchange out your Part 2 and 3 DVD's This coming FEB (via snail mail)... with the correct matted stuff taken care off.... I will let you guys know... as soon as I find out more... no real "offical" word from them yet... but they are aware of the problem... not too noticable of a glitch... but it bugs me. You would think there Quality Control folks would of caught this...:hammer:...lol

Have not put 3 in the player yet... so dunno there.

ok...so that is my update so far ..thought I would share.. :)

Ya know what I found in 3??? Well, there is one scene (if I remember correctly it's when they are at the town party...Marty (aka Clint Eastwood) goes up and talks to Shamus McFly... well, Marty is a different shade (not noticeable...but if you're looking for it...you can tell (he must've been dubbed in afterwards (because obviously Shamus is also MJF)

Marty is too "orange or brown" and you can kinda tell that Lea Thompson (Maggie) isn't really looking at him...but trying to focus on one area.

i heard that they're doing a promo at universal, that if you get it, you get a free BTTF backpack, so I'm gonna swing by tomorrow and see how true that is...

and even if they don't, I'm still gonna get it w/ my Employee Discount... so I'm still getting it

hmm...gotta question for the BTTF fans...am I the only one or did anyone else think that the Time Traveling Train was kinda cheesy?

(Just a thought...but...if the guy can build a nuclear reactor in 1885...why does he still need to run it on Steam???) I mean...he was obviously able to find Plutonium :)

hUH?

By part 3 the car ran off of recycled garbage, not plutonium... but the Lightning had damaged the car, right? So the train was used to get it up to speed. I thought the train was way cool, and very Jules Vern, it was appropriate imo. I like everything BTTF, so :p

Hmm...right...but didn't he pick up Mr. Fusion in the future??? (but I guess he could've got it when he went to the future in the train because the train did have the hover conversion in it)...BUT...he INITIALLY would've needed the plutonium (unless...he figured out how to build his own Mr. Fusion)

(oh...and he needed the train to get him up to speed because he didn't have fuel...the arrow from the indian punctured it or something)

The lightning strike prevented it from traveling back in time because it blew out one of the parts that wasn't invented yet.
