My sister in Boston MA has emailed saying that it is the coldest ever. Their washing machine froze up.

Things are far milder here is my neck of England. Grotty, but no snow.

Well its up to 16 degrees with a wind chill of 0. :sohappy:

Getting balmy next week when it goes back to 30. :D

Originally school was slated for a 2 hr delay today because they didn't want the kids out before the sun came up. (Katie gets the bus at 6:30 ish). They closed school because they couldn't get the diesel buses started. The HS sits in a valley & the wind sweeps thru on normal days...they had pipes break the other day from the cold.

A five day weekend!!!

I will give everyone up north boiling water, but it will turn to ice by the time it travels to you so i wont.

(come to Florida, it is Hot compaired to the north lately.)
(it is chilly for me though, im a true floridian who will wear his lettman jacket in 69 degree weather, once it hits 70 i am still wearing it but till take it off.)

Sneezing icicles? Try using a porta potty on a construction site.

Here tonight it's down to 18 degrees again at 11:00 PM with a windchill of 8. Glad to know I'm not the only one that's freezing.

Does anyone know how to get those big ice blocks off the wheel wells on the car without breaking the trim? At this point they're starting to interfere with the steering, and it never gets warm enough for them to melt!

I try to kick them off every time I get out of the car. I have a friend who pours boiling water on them & then starts chipping away. Right now we have 16 degrees with a wind chill factor of 3.

I went out for dinner last Thursday night and the temperature (with wind chill) was -45F!!! The service in the restaurant was excellent - granted we were the only people in the place that is usually packed full
Before coming to Montréal, anything below 23F seemed too cold, now when I look at the weather forecasts, I'm not bothered by anything above -13F

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
w/ the Wind chill its about -10 to -15° right now... depends where you are... by the Lake.. or in the burbs.

sick of it... *sigh*
