Ah. I’ve only watched IM2 once. That movie isn’t very good.
I completely understand now. Please excuse the delay in that. When looking at it that way I agree.I don’t disagree with much of this, and my opinion largely probably stems from the fact that I view Stark much more of a lone soldier (to an extent), while I think Cap is the glue that holds this whole mess of clashing personalities together.
I have to admit at the end I was wishing it was Stan Lee as The One Above All that came to set things right.
Overall I enjoyed the film, but time travel just makes movies less cool.
He was employed by the Watchers it seemed.I like to think hes just a guy who pops up at key events in the MCU. Like an observer. Doesn't interfere with events but is there to make sure everything happens the way its suppose to. Thats why hes always in disguise. Wasn't his Guardians 2 character called The Watcher or something? Kind of implying this?
Don’t know Who said it, but Hulk’s arm was getting better.
My kids are watching Iron Man.
I tend to disagree because, and I don’t mean this disrespect to Lee, when you see him, you’re taken out of the film. You’re seeing Stan Lee, not a character.I have to admit at the end I was wishing it was Stan Lee as The One Above All that came to set things right.
Overall I enjoyed the film, but time travel just makes movies less cool.
I'm surprised no one mention or recognized the slight namor hint.
There was? Totally missed it, do tell.
My two youngest girls did not. Oldest girl and my boys did. The three youngest weren’t exactly born or old enough to enjoy IM at the time though they’ve kinda seen both movies before. They wanted to see IM alive again, especially my son.Did they go to see endgame? Which was like his 11th appearance?
...you get me point?
I think the BW got me the second time. I was in disbelief the first time. Tom Holland’s acting was the thing that had me choking up the second time. He and RDJ have awesome chemistry. So much better with the second viewing. No tears but I was choking up bad with Tony. I think it was worse on me this time.
I just forgot to put it up. That was Namor easily.I'm surprised no one mention or recognized the slight namor hint.
After my second viewing I also notice how Captain Marvel really feels like an odd one out. Nick Fury specifically calls her and she’s barely in the movie. There’s also barely any interaction with the other heroes and when there is any it’s always a bit confrontational until the big fight at the end. She really felt forced into the movie whereas everyone else nicely plays off one another and she only shows up when it’s convenient. I have no problem with the scene with all the girls getting together but the reasoning given for it doesn’t make any sense. When Peter hands the glove to Carol he asks “how are you going to get through all that?” The other girls come to help her get through the hoard of enemies and start taking some down but then literally one second later we see Carol fly right through an entire mass of them effortlessly. This is someone that needed “help?” I don’t buy it.
The way they built her up for this movie made me think we were in for some good expansion of her character but she was just a plot device to save Tony and Nebula and destroy Thanos’s ship. If this is all we got out of this I think they would’ve been better off introducing her after Endgame and giving her a different back story for getting her powers. I enjoyed her solo film but in this one it was such a waste. If her next appearance in the MCU doesn’t give us any actual development for her I really question how she can be the new face of the franchise that’ll make people weep whenever she eventually bites the dust. People aren’t crying for Tony just because he’s Iron Man. They cry because he’s an insanely relatable flawed character that we fell in love with over 11 years.
