In a video I saw a photo used at the Parks Panel of the Avengers ride with a huge blue warehouse building behind, obviously where the actual ride goes.

But in all the overview shots the ride warehouse is missing, likely because they released those shots on Friday before they confirmed the new "Fly to Wakanda" E Ticket thing. Can anyone find a version of that photo used in the Parks Panel that shows the huge blue warehouse looming behind it?

I assume that warehouse goes in the empty plot behind Cars Land/Guardians.

I'm just pointing out that having a giant building with an Avengers logo visible from across probably many areas of the park is poor theming.
I never got this complaint. You’ve always been able to see things in the distance even in Disneyland. I love it. Always seen Main Street as a portal in a way, leading to the castle and other worlds at the end of a real street, like worlds colliding. Hopefully you’ll be immersed when actually in the land, but seeing Space Mountain peaking out from Main Street, Frontierland or NOS only made me excited to explore that world. If I wanted the real life New Orleans, I’ll visit the real one as this is a theme park where rides are the main attraction. I also have visited the real N.O. due to my love for how Disney did it, twice, just like you can visit a real National Park or a real California pier which there are many.
The only thing I’d be worried about is Radiator Springs, as seeing GotG:MB while getting your scenic tour on RSR is still a bit distracting, today and even when it was TOT. Hopefully the big Avengers box will be more to the side. It will block those ugly power lines we’ve complained about for years, that’s for certain.

Found it! It's showing up online now after today's presentation. This appears to be the angle of the building looking southward, with that big warehouse thing in the empty plot behind Guardians. The ride facility itself would take place in the big warehouse.

Versus the photos released on Friday with the announcement of the Campus, because they didn't want to spoil the Sunday announcement. But here's that warehouse slotted in to the Campus overview image.

So now that we know where the Avengers Coaster is going is there any reason to believe that the Hollywood Backlot is also going to be swallowed up by Marvel? I’d say it’s more likely to be upgraded and stay a part of Hollywoodland or become part of a new land with the Eastern Gateway project

I suspect it will remain as is for about 5+ years. Once Eastern Gateway finally happens, it can be freed up to become either another land or more Marvel rides based on future movies. If Phase Four films like “the Eternals” aren’t big enough to warrant attractions, then perhaps some Phase Five thing will be.

Screw it. I’m not going to be negative about this anymore. Spider-Man is going to suck and Pixar Pier still sucks and Mission Breakout is absolute trash, but at least Marvel land is trying to fit with the California theme to some extent. It’s not perfect, far from it, but I can accept this. It’s not like I’m paying to go to DCA ever again.

Since when is Space Mountain a warehouse?

@BrianLo they went at length about Avengers Campus in the presentation, but totally ignored the Iron Man coaster in Paris, despite RnRC closing in a week to start that transformation. I thought that was weird, since they did talk about Hotel New York.

Is there a reason you think they didn't?

They just didn’t really include much on Paris in general. They did the same thing with Arrendale, zoned in on Hong Kong and barely mentioned Paris.

It was in the imagineering pavilion however. I think there was definitely an element of ‘if we aren’t showing a new piece of concept art at least, we won’t really delve into a topic’. I know everyone said it felt like a retread, but every single thing he talked about at minimum included a new piece of concept art.

On a side note the Marvel models were boringly done. But at least Japan’s was there (and the HK castle).

I agree.

Two things to add. Really doesn’t seem like a coaster and it’s definitely not lightcycles, (so I actually believe that breaths life back into tronket rods).

They also chose to go to Wakanda in this ride, which I think makes my running theory of the Backlot being pegged for Wakanda moot.

Half of this makes sense. Half of this does not.

And in a few days Brazil, Egypt, India.......
I hope they have enough sense to keep SoC permanently. Anyone heard anything lately?
According to the "site that must not be named",

Originally only slated to last through June 30th, Disney has just announced that due to guest popularity, the epic, aerial adventure Soarin’ Over California has been extended through August 31! The epic, aerial adventure Soarin’ Over California returned to Disney California Adventure park in an attempt to distract the masses from Galaxy’s Edge.

I think it distracted the masses way to well away from Galaxy's Edge.
So you guess is as good as mine if it goes down next monday.

Because of location I could see them making the Animation building part of Avengers Campus/ some other Marvel mini land before the backlot. If the backlot turns into Marvel what happens to the Hyperion? and what about the trolley re route? And then what would be the point of Hollywood blvd, would they theme it to be Marvel all the way to Cathay Circle? Making the backlot Marvel opens up a big can of worms. Not that they wouldn’t deal with it for the right IP, I just think it’s the less likely situation. First things first we should see all the Marvel meet n greets Move from the backlot to Avengers Campus

Lastly, they have a whole bunch of other/ new IP to promote and very finite expansion space. It’s more likely they would want to showcase some of their other properties.

I suspect part of what Dr. Strange is doing there is to open portals to various meet-n-greet locations across the universe.

This is what I was talking about. Purposely themed buildings that contribute. Now the Avengers headquarters is essentially a group of office style buildings and it does give them the easy way out.

In the end you have something like this, Spaceship Earth and a warehouse. At DCA we'll have the Cadillac range, GOTG:MB and inbetween a warehouse with an Avengers logo.
