Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

Yeah, at this point I truly don't care for another Avengers Campus ride. The land as a whole is terrible. Probably the worst land. The only good ride is the Guardians, but that existed before Avengers Campus.

Just let the new e-ticket ride die.
I'm not a fan of Marvel at all, and even my limited expectations for this land was disappointed when I visited in March. It was mostly just an ugly expanse of almost empty, lifeless concrete. I wasn't really a fan of A Bug's Land when I visited as a childless adult, but now that I have two young kids, I would have really appreciated it. Especially the shade versus Avenger's Campus sun-baked concrete.

I agree, this is the worst land I've seen at any Disney Park.

Did I miss it? Why is nobody talking about Avengers Flight Force from Paris?
I just got back from there, and that's one heck of a ride.
60 mph, 3 inversions, 1800 hourly capacity, pre-show with Iron Man animatronics...
Why not?

My two kids 2&4, especially my 4 year old, LOVED Web Slingers. I had no expectations for the land or the ride, having been on it once and thinking "meh" but it made me rethink the ride as a whole seeing how it could accommodate the four of us and my 4 year old being so into it.

That being said the side of the Web Slingers ride where the Spider Man "show" and the meet and greet goes down is so hot and sunny and a pretty poor use of space. Maybe it'll flow better when they reopen the walkways that go to the food court.

Ohhhhh. Wow. I had no idea. Especially since others are talking about Cosmic Rewind, Rock N Roller Coaster, Hagrids, and other transplanted rides. But again, thanks for the clarity. Must not be elite enough.
We have a Miscellaneous thread as well as a dedicated Universal Hollywood thread where those attractions may be talked about, but we don't dedicate threads to them or make an effort to go off-topic about them in a thread that is not dedicated to them (though we sometimes often lose focus).

THIS particular thread is for the Anaheim Avengers campus upcoming E-Ticket.

You can find it discussed over in the DLP forum, specifically in this thread about the transformation of Studios Park.

New concept rendering shared at Destination D23.

"At Disney California Adventure Park, a new world-jumping vehicle is coming to the next attraction in Avengers Campus to help transport Super Heroes into the Multiverse.

Brent Strong, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, is sharing an early peek at the ride vehicle featuring a design that combines elements of Tony Stark’s time-suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology."

Sounds like a hopeful plan. A high capacity attraction, that most guests can enjoy, that hopefully throws you into a thrilling avengers story.

This could be Disneyland’s answer to the IOA Spider-Man? Is Scott Throwbridge involved? 😂

People seem to love Spider-Man from IOA. I’ve never been on it but I’ve been on Transformers at USH and don’t enjoy that ride at all.

While I enjoyed Transformers, it’s no Spider-Man, which leverages a better mix of practical effects, and blending of screens into the scenery. Spider-Man is a blast.

There is this practical scene where the sets lower as it feels like you are rising up (you are not), and it’s just so well done.

Transformers is almost entirely screens. Spider-Man is more 50/50. I prefer Spider-Man. The standard for theme parks is definitely beyond IOA’s Spider-Man now, but a ride with physical sets with a couple Spider-Man/Transformers style screens to transport you to a new area would be a win in my book.
