I'm excited to see the walls for this potentially going! My personal theory is maybe they wanted to let the test and adjust on Peter Pan in Fantasy Springs finish up to be sure the ride system was working as intended before committing to building a second version

Hearing reports that there was a wasp / bee issue in that spot. Fence likely went up as they had to "deal" with it.
This Wasp??

Anyone think that new Disney patent for the more thrilling Soarin with more range of motion might be for the Avengers ride?

I think this is the closest look we'll ever get at what the Quinjet version of the ride would have been.
Though at this point I do think the TDS Peter Pan ride system will be a great fit for the Avengers E ticket.

I still don’t understand what that ride system is. Or maybe I do and I always forget. Transformers with a motion base?
It's vague at this point but from everything I've observed you're in the ballpark. There has been some rumor as to the screen based visuals being improved. The only things confirmed so far are that the vehicles seat twelve and the ride system is intended to simulate flight.

The Peter Pan ride uses 3D glasses. So maybe Avengers would be glasses free?

Simulate flight on the ground? On a moving vehicle? I can think of better ways. So Peter Pans flight from 1955 did it better?
