Glad to see this is finally happening! When was the last time DLR got an exclusive new build? Cars land?
Seems like ages, the only thing I can think of is Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters but it used Luigi’s Flying Tires queue so it’s not a completely new build. The better question is when is the last time DCA built a completely new attraction without using something from the attraction it replaced?Glad to see this is finally happening! I keep thinking of things then realising they used pre-existing structures like Snow White's Enchanted Wish, and Adventureland Treehouse, Emotional Whirlwind. I think the last truly unique attraction built from scratch was Cars Land and Red Car Trolley, which is wildSeems like ages, the only thing I can think of is Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters but it used Luigi’s Flying Tires queue so it’s not a completely new build. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad says hello (and SWGE) for the resort but as far as DCA its Cars Land.I keep thinking of things then realising they used pre-existing structures like Snow White's Enchanted Wish, and Adventureland Treehouse, Emotional Whirlwind. But both of those weren't exclusive to Disneyland, they were built at Hollywood Studios beforeMickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad says hello (and SWGE) for the resort but as far as DCA its Cars Land.
Mickey and Minnie was a clone, but SWGE was developed concurrently and it’s clear SWGE was designed for DL and cloned for DHS.But both of those weren't exclusive to Disneyland, they were built at Hollywood Studios before
Definitely designed for Disneyland, but still not Disneyland exclusive, which is what we're talking aboutMickey and Minnie was a clone, but SWGE was developed concurrently and it’s clear SWGE was designed for DL and cloned for DHS.
Yes, but the original question was "When was the last time DLR got an exclusive new build?"Mickey and Minnie was a clone, but SWGE was developed concurrently and it’s clear SWGE was designed for DL and cloned for DHS.
I kinda love that Daisy gets some love on this ride. She feels sidelined too oftenYeah that’s why I said some of it. A lot of it is an issue with how Disney is approaching trackless dark rides these days. They nailed it over 20 years ago with Hunny Hunt and ROTR doesn’t feel like a warehouse.
All of those ideas would definitely help. I think the biggest offenders on MMRR are the stampede and carnival scenes. Daisys room is also designed to be a holding room if you will to give the cars in the dead end finale time to get out of there. Of couree they could have gone with something different instead of Daisys dance studio. Strange how Donald barely has a presence on the ride.
Is it because she’s not officially a part of the “Fab Five”?I kinda love that Daisy gets some love on this ride. She feels sidelined too often![]()
And because she doesn't really have a character. At least, she didn't in the cartoons when I was growing up, not sure about the new Mickey cartoons. Minnie and Daisy suffer from being stock female versions of their counterpart. Mickey is a sweet and adoring character, making it easier to love Minnie by proxy. Donald is a woe-begotten grump who's troubles would build tension between himself and Daisy, making Daisy more of an aloof vague idea who gets upset at Donald for reasons beyond his control. Minnie is often the damsel, Daisy is the snob outside of Donald's league. Is it because she’s not officially a part of the “Fab Five”?
As time went on both Minnie and Daisy got more agency then just being Mickey and Donald's girlfriends/love interests in the shorts, various shows, movies, and even the comics. And because she doesn't really have a character. I do appreciate that in the DuckTales reboot, they made her her own character (a hardworking fashion designer) and "fixed" her relationship with Donalad where she loved him for who he was and could easily understand himAs time went on both Minnie and Daisy got more agency then just being Mickey and Donald's girlfriends/love interests in the shorts, various shows, movies, and even the comics.
But yes I would agree she hasn't been a primary character in many stories, and as I recall hasn't even had a solo story, making her more of a lesser side character in the overall hierarchy of Disney canon.
Like others, I too do like that she has representation in MMRR as she isn't represented a lot in the Parks overall.
Once again its time to bring up reports of its death is premature and greatly exaggerated -Once again it's time to bring up that the MCU is dying, if not already dead.

An outlier, plus it wasn't even good, and barely even an MCU movie at that - same goes for the upcoming F4 movie.Once again its time to bring up reports of its death is premature and greatly exaggerated -

All those tickets sold seem to indicate differently, and it was centered in the MCU so yes its MCU.An outlier, plus it wasn't even good, and barely even an MCU movie at that - same goes for the upcoming F4 movie.
There's no point in arguing with you because I'm right. All those tickets sold seem to indicate differently, and it was centered in the MCU so yes its MCU.
As for the F4, not sure why you think that isn't MCU when its quite literally their introduction into the MCU.
