Avatar's arrival ...

Step away. You're being drawn into the jt vortex. It's not a good place to be. Everything is backwards, up is down, right is wrong. Cats and dogs living together. You'll have a harder time getting out than Carol Ann did in Poltergeist.

To some people, up will ALWAYS be down... Even when they know down is really down... But admitting that would mean admitting they were wrong. Thus, up is down.

See? It all makes sense.

This is funny!

The JT Vortex!

So you are saying there are no deals to be had at Uni right now? You must not be local.

In all fairness, WDW seems to offer as many, if not more, discounts to both locals and tourists.

JT, give Uni 5 years. If all goes to plan it'll be worth it.

Except any explanations from you about what I got wrong.

Georgia is not "local".

Uni is not yet in Disney's league.

Sea World likely will be and soon.

AvatarLand is on the way to DAK.

The old 20K attraction is 'down'.

The LM show building is going 'up'.

All provable facts in the vortex of truth.

Yours is the "vortex of truth" in the same way that Fox News is "Fair and Balanced".

I'd blow each of your points away one by one, but that would require me to brave the vortex... Which I won't do.

Wait. Did I already brave it by replying to this??? Shoot.

I'VE BEEN PULLED IN!!!!!!!! GLaDOS! MARTIN! '74! ANY ONE OF YOU OTHER POSTERS WITH A SHRED OF SANITY AND RATIONAL THOUGHT!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe even a dump truck full of Spirit dust could warp the Vortex. Be careful you are entering the event horizon.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
In Disney's parks has happened ... just not at WDW.

And, apparently, it has passed quietly ... sorta like standing behind a farty tourist in a Disney queue.

So where can you find the giant blue $exy aliens if not at The Timeshare Kingdom of the World (still sans Marvel characters now and forever so long as UNI desires)?

Simple. DSP. Cinemagique.

Sometime, not quite sure when, the best Disney attraction at DSP (that most of you have no clue exists) 'updated' its film clips to include a scene from Avatar as well as scenes from Black Swan, The Incredibles and Toy Story 3. Not sure what was taken out beyond a shot of Mickey and Minnie kissing from one of the old shorts from the 30s or 40s. ... You can decide for yourselves whether this is a good change or a bad one.

Oh, and this shouldn't give anyone false hope that A-land is coming to DAK anymore than that Hulk meet-and-greet at Epcot.

I'm ok with MARVEL in the parks. But AVATAR isn't even owned/created/related to anything whatsoever by Disney. What's Disney World without the DISNEY part?? I think they're inspired by the money Universal is getting on movies THEY dont make in the parks.. :brick:

I don't care what ANYone thinks. I'm just going to say it now. The Avatar movie was FREAKING OVER RATED, BORING AS CRAAPPP AND JUST UNINTERESTING TO ME :zipit:

Your opinions of Avatar notwithstanding, what do you think about Star Wars and Indiana Jones being in the parks?

Nah, I allowed myself to be played again by JT to some extent ... I'd much rather he just blather on by himself.

If anyone here believes he has any credibility ... well, there are people who watch FOX News and believe the talking heads.

It was nice to see the OP of the 'Avatarland canceled' thread pop in with new info since said poster is well-connected and very respected by this Spirit. I would take his info to the bank (if I still trusted banks!)

I absolutely agree that if Pandora does come to DAK that it will be a one-of ... this isn't the start of any franchise no matter Iger's original statements. I also believe it likely will be way too little, way too late based on what UNI and SW are doing in Central FLA.

Amazing how folks can spin things.

I mean, I found out today that Art of Animation CM discounts of 50 and 60% off are out and available practically every day the first few months it is open, yet I am sure people here will claim it is packed and popular.

Georgia being considered local by UNI isn't anything special, WDW has offered 'local' discounts to Peach state residents for decades now. Sometimes, WDW's 'local' discounts have even spread to Alabama and South Carolina (possibly Mississippi too, although I don't know that one for certain).

To the poster who was talking about the relic known as the MSEP parade being 'new to me' ... if you're a 50-year-old virgin, then certain things are new to you but all it really means is you are way behind the times. MSEP is from 1972, which was FORTY years ago. It is ancient and needs to be put in a museum. It isn't cutting edge entertainment and is truly embarassing when compared to night parades at say TDL or UNI-Osaka or other Disney spectacles like the amazing Disney Dreams (that this lucky Spirit just caught three times at DLP!:king::))

UGH!!! ... I need a vacation ... maybe I'll start summer with a trip to the one USA theme park I've always wanted to visit, but haven't yet. Yeah, sounds better than driving up to the Timeshare, Pixie Dust and No Life Disney Lifestyler Kingdom of the World. :drevil:

Thank god your back 74 I speak for myself, but this site just isn't the same without your posts.

Thanks!

I wish I could say it's good to be back, but I miss Europe a great deal (and not sorry I missed most of the Avengers insanity that abounded in my absence). And I dread writing about just how poor and neglected DLP is feeling in many areas.

For the record (since I'm the one that made the joke), I'm more elephant than donkey (but really somewhere in the middle), and I really don't have anything against fox news... Just like I don't really have anything against jt. I just find it funny when they claim to not be slanted when clearly they are. That's where the joke was coming from. :)

You just ruined his day.

You must be one of those rare "elephakeys'. I have heard of them but never actually seen one in the wild. I thought they were just a cryptobiolgy myth.

Live and learn. :)

I can't decide if I should give that person on the street corner a dollar, or wait around the corner with a video camera to tape him ending his shift and walking to his Cadillac.

It's a tough spot to be in.

You know, I agree with just about everything you say about the parks, but the political comments...:brick:

You see...people on total opposite sides of the political fence can agree on some things!
