Asia. And France?
I took it to mean "they can't build Toy Story Land anywhere else in Asia; they can't build Mystic Point or Grizzly Gulch anywhere else." So we could one day have our own Toy Story Land...joy. Coming soon to Epcot next to the Serpentine Fountains:

The mountains will be painted onto the Soarin' building.

We're not talking rats or any other invasive species, we're talking large animals like elephants, rhinos, lions and other species that are being hunted in the wild out if pure greed. Again...Lord Henery isn't a hunter he's a collector of antiques.

And yet Toy Story Land is in the schematics drawing for Shanghai Disneyland that was posted here the other day

Toy Story Land is dreadful.

They took a troubled park (talking about WDSP here) and made it worse. Less thematic cohesion, less placemaking, less sense.

Rat (looking good!) may provide some necessary relief, but you walk there through all the unhinged Pixar stuff. And Rat Land on its own is too small, a courtyard more than a land.
God forbid they take their cue from WDSP for the coming DHS projects. The less of that WDSP Pixar Place idiocy, the better.

So besides Avatar, are there any other rumored smaller attractions coming to DAK?

It's an excellent question. It's been mentioned that a smaller project might accompany the FOTLK theater relocation to Africa -- the strong rumor there is that it would be a Lion enclosure, but it could be a small ride. I haven't heard of any other projects, though I would love to see a few smaller scale rides built to fully flesh out the park.

Two C ticket level rides would do wonders.

A large part of the budget is about getting DAK "up to snuff" for the new hours. Expect dining and infrastructure, plus lighting and other upgrades. I don't anticipate any true "attractions".

My cat hunts lizards. All the time. She leaves bits of their corpses around the house, like she is some kind of animal. It's disgusting.

So, has there been any progress other than moving FotLK to Africa? Still anti-Avatarland in the AK, but wondering what is going on.

I still think a great solution to this is to build a monorail or other transport from DAK to the AKL (operating similar to how the monorail works at DLR). Have some animal enclosures along the route so there stuff to see during the ride. This creates another attraction/thing to do and helps solve the issue of a lack of dining for DAK -- with the great restaurants at AKL being available much more easily, that basically doubles the sit down options for guests visiting the parks.

Plus, it creates an incentive for staying at AKL with a more streamlined access to the park.

The part and resort are close enough that it wouldn't be that costly to build and operate such a transport.

I really don't see how that's supposed to be any easier/more efficient than the buses. It's not like it's HARD or takes long to get from DAK to DAKL as it is so you're not really solving anything.

If it's an attraction -- like the Monorail at DLR -- then it serves two purposes: transport and increase ride capacity for the park. It would just involve adding some animals and scenery along the travel course. some people will ride it all the way and not stop at the resort. Others can use it to ride to the resort and explore or eat there.

Mind you, I'm not saying it has to be a Monorail. It can be a train/light rail/whatever.

Now, I agree that functionally it's not really much different than a bus. It would be more efficient simply because it would run more often and have a dedicated right of way but the bus still would get you there. But there's a big difference conceptually to guests in terms of a "on the park map attraction" versus a bus that is outside the gates and is one of many going to many different places (so it is lost in the shuffle).

Will they announce the AK nighttime show at D23 along with the avatar attractions?
That is by far the shakiest part of the whole line-up. It's an "only get done if we don't run over budget" show. I'm high skeptical it will get made. And if it does, I would expect it to be the absolute last thing announced, and would be at a later date from the other DAK upgrades.
