AVATAR land - the specifics

I have a child who wear glasses only to see distance like movies and white boards at school. Is the Flight of Passage screen closer than a regular movie screen? Trying to decide if she will need to wear them for the ride. She doesn't need them for Star Tours.

It's a lot longer than I thought it would be. Looks fantastic!

Only thing I'm bummed about is I won't be able to ge the full effect. I have one eye due to a firework accident. So all of these new 3D movies and rides only half work for me. Oh well.

Screen configuration and distance is very similar to Soarin. However, it is a 3D movie that does require glasses.

Not sure if that helps.

This whole FoP FP thing is ridiculous. NRJ has several FPs available all day long, and nobody really cares about RoL.

The funny thing is, I'm planning on getting the NRJ FP so I can see the queue for FoP. Depends on what wait times look like when things actually open, of course.

We are going later in the summer and I am torn about how to do FP+ but I think we'll do two days at DAK -- one at night specifically where I hope to FP+ RoL and FoP and a second day where I'll try to FP+ NRJ but get there early to rope drop FoP and do the queue. The only problem is the night visit will probably be first, so we'll miss the backstory of the queue when we first ride.

Just watched the POV video posted by theme park review. FoP looks pretty intense but awesome I am hoping if I can't snag a fastpass to rope drop it either in July or October.

Does their AP preview and media preview leave any room for general soft opening? I'd love to go during the week next week in hopes of softs but it seems like they've got the schedule filled with planned previews which wouldn't make a wide soft opening possible.

When my friends and I go in the fall, we're planning to FP NRJ and ride FoP first thing in the morning. It'll be the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so we're assuming that crowd levels at AK will be similar to what they will be when Pandora opens.
