ah yeah because they have a good size queue for people just to look at the banshees

when i was there yesterday it appeared a bit small and chaotic at times...the entire store feels small...in fact if i had a single complaint at all about pandora is that they did such a good job its sad that it is small in some ways.

this area was one of my favs...sadly it will be full of human laziness and lack of responsibility. still amazing aesthetics. there are a few smaller areas that look sort of like this too. Pandora really has alot of cool little "areas" so hopefully it wont look as cluttered as regular pathways.
It good to know that Pandora will have cool little areas like the rest of DAK. It looks like it will blend in nicely with the rest of the park and still, in my opinion, be the best themed park in the world.

They are all free floating just going along with the current, the guides are just for the tight turns and to keep them centered in the flume.

Thank you for your answer, but that still doesn't make sense.

For example, think of the the Speedway in MK. There aren't rails along sides of each lane, because the rail under the cars keeps them from going off the path. Having rails both under the cars AND along the sides of the lane would be completely unnecessary.

Similarly, if there is a track below to keep the boats centered in the flume, I can't see the need for side rails, especially along the entire path.

I wonder if they are free-floating in some areas and guided in others.

I wondered that too, but I watched the video again and I see side rails along the entire path.

Just got back from Pandora. NRJ is, as I suspected underwhelming. I rode it twice to give it a chance. I could see string hanging down and holding up the spider looking creatures. There are a few impressive parts of the ride but the shortness of it is really glaring. Everyone in the boats would always say " Is this it ?"
FOP is definitely worthy of its E ticket status. The sights and smells and movement are top notch. I was a little disappointed in the 3D. Maybw it was the movement but the 3D looked blurry to me in a few places.
The whole area is far too small for the crowds that will crush in there this summer. FOP for whatever reason takes forever to load with a reduced crowd. God help the people that come in on May 27th. Did anyone else think the whole land is small ?
Lots of detail and tons of picture opportunites. Great smells and ambiance. NRJ is a letdown but FOP is top notch.

Went to A.P. previews yesterday. All in all, I love this land. The atmosphere is amazing and definitely on par with Diagon Alley. Tons of photo opportunities and places to explore. The food and drinks were delicious. Flight of Passage was amazing! It definitely is not the best Disney ride in the world as some have claimed, but is very well done, and probably the best simulator ride in the world (at least that I've been on). The banshee breathing effect on the seats was very cool and well done. I'd have to say the biggest letdown about the land would have to be Na'vi River Journey. It could have been way better if it included more audio animatronics (or at least limited motion figures) of the fauna from Pandora. But overall, this is a very solid addition to Animal Kingdom, and enhances my favorite park in Florida. :)

Looks very cool - but I hope that's not the whole ride... More vertical movement than I was expecting. I wonder how long Disney will let this stay posted...
In the description with the video, it states...
"SPOILER ALERT! This video does not give away the entire ride, but it gives you a small *idea* of what the ride is like! Note that this ride is also in 3D so the visual quality of the actual ride is MUCH better when you are wearing the special goggles than in this video! Ride on the back of a “Banshee” through the world of Pandora in Flight of Passage! Amazing new attraction at Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom!"
