Hey guys, im Planning my next trip.
I can either go early may or mid-june.
Do you guys think pandora will be open by mid-june?

If not then id rather go early may to see the flower and garden festival.
I don't think anyone knows, or at this point can even guess. We are going end of May, but I have told my family not to expect to see it this trip. If we do, it will be fantastic!

Has anybody commented on the ride system shown in the sneak preview above? It looks like confirmation of a modified Vekoma Panoramic Theater? Apologies if this has already been confirmed.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Sorry to make info be repeated - I have been following the Pandora threads pretty closely but obviously missed the no-Vekoma confirmation.

I think I'm the only one who has said it and only learned that was so very recently. I too had assumed they were using Brogent's system. Vekoma does marketing and sales along with some engineering support for Brogent, who is the actual manufacturer of the i-Ride / Panoramic Flight Simulator.

Interesting. Any idea who is doing the system (I don't think there are that many that can work on the scale of this ride system)? Odd not to use Vekoma, given their history with Disney and relative expertise in this area.

Again, Vekoma does not make the Panoramic Flight Simulator, they provide services for Brogent Technologies. Vekoma is only typically involved with Disney's roller coasters and even then that is not always the case. There are many companies, some more public than others, that could build this system. Heck, the only reason Brogent Technologies got into the attraction business is because Eda World wanted their own version of Soarin' Over California.

Do we know who built the Soarin ride system?

I'm pretty sure the ride is made out of Mark Sumner's vintage collection of erector sets. Let's agree to disagree.
I think it's safe to say that one of the most genius moments in Imagineering came from Mark Sumner's vintage collection of erector sets. In fact, everything that's anything is Mark Sumner's vintage collection of erector sets. It makes up the very building blocks of life. If one were to study a sample under the most powerful electron microscope, one would find, in the smallest, innermost subatomic level: Mark Sumner's vintage collection of erector sets.

I, myself, am Mark Sumner's vintage collection of erector sets.

I've been looking at the screen grab of the FoP show building interior. Trying to get a close up on the vehicles. Still not sure exactly what's going on with them. To me they look like bikes from what I see can someone with a more expert opinion fill me in.

If this is true, am totally making a banshee bicycle for Halloween... or every day.

Been trying to work with that image but the quality leaves a lot to be desired, given the small amount
of the frame that the vehicles occupy. But they do seem to resemble that crude sketch, individual pods.
Lots of 'stuff' coming off them. Goggle things, (technical term!) what? So, sharpened slightly, levels adjusted
to bring out details, color corrected and desaturated a bit . . . here it is:

We also need to keep in mind that what we are seeing there might not be complete, there might be other components that need to be added.

That looks like they attached a sum of all thrills seat to a Soarin ride system. I really hope it's nothing like sum of all thrills cause that type of simulator makes me want to vomit. Was hoping for more of a Soarin style ride where your looking at a large screen. Is this ride in 3-d?
