AVATAR land - the specifics

"drum" might be the end of a word.
I checked again, about a second after the screenshot I took you can see that Drum is the whole first word.

Paging @George
You are a lighting specialist aren't you?

Within 5 years, Disneyworld will require no electrical lighting at all since the whole property will be illuminated with the wisdom of the ancients.

The background music for the land is going to be part Avatar soundtrack, part Lars Ulrich playing the drum bit from Master of Puppets again and again.

There was a location in the film that had the circular bent rocks like that, they were bending
to an energy field around the life tree or something like that. I think that things have
changed substantially since that picture, which is one of the first ever released. In this
pic, you can see those bent rocks up in the back distance, leading me to believe that they
will be present as a mock-distant forced perspective element on top of some of the cliffs.

Or maybe they involved the canned or delayed 3rd attraction? Just a guess.

Expanding on my further post of the plans shown in the background... I took 3 separate screen caps of it as different parts became visible in the video, and stitched them together into this:
rideplans.jpg

If this is indeed the boat ride, it looks like there could be a small outdoor section at the top right. There is also a large pool in the back, possibly boat storage area? or water supply/pump area?

I am trying to overlay it with the aerial photo, but it doesn't seem to line up in any obvious way.

The boat ride always looked and sounded like an E ticket itself to me, which leads me to believe that maybe they are holding off on it for a future expansion. Because I can't imagine they would actually be allowed the funds for two new E Tickets to open with the area. And the concept art we got of the boat ride didn't look like any C or D ticket to me.

The leaked plans referred to it as a C ticket.

The greyish area in the upper right of your image reminds me of the concrete area north of the center of the big wall. Your image would need to be rotated anti clockwise about 45 degrees to match the aerial.

If I have a chance to fire up GIMP I might experiment but won't be able to do that till a number of hours from now.

My guess: It says Drum Circle and Puppets.

Here's another shot of the same board, showing what looks like the word Circle below that:

Also, after some googling, it seems that there was an Avatar Exhibition showcasing the production of the film. One of the activities there was a drum circle:

Drumming Circle: Visitors were given the opportunity of performing a song in Na'vi while singing and exploring basic beats.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them bring something like that to Avatar Land.
