Its a known fact that disney builds things at twice the cost of the guys down the street.....its really disappointing thay they don't try to attack those costs outright but Instrad they just cut corners on the product instead of pushing to do more with less.
I guess once Uni builds their Pandora Experience we will be able to compare.

Disney still builds much more easily compared attractions that still come in at significantly higher cost than others. Slinky Dog Dash is not much more than a roller coaster but looking at triple the cost. If the ride system for Flight of Passage does not exceed the capabilities of a Brogent i-Ride then that would be another unnecessary expense.

The best totally direct comparison we'll ever have is when each builds their confirmed/rumored Avengers E Tickets at HKDL and IoA.

the overflow is definitively ugly and simple. but the interior is wow! Loved entering and seeing a lot of animated stuff near the photo area.

Anyone see this? The Discover Disney Florida Ticket offer is back for 2017 and includes blackout dates that apply only to Animal Kingdom in late-May and early-June. Could Pandora be ready that soon? Or maybe this is for a Rivers of Light relaunch?

I believe @WildcatDen hinted at possibly that time frame for Pandora softs so it sounds like it's lining up. But we all know plans can shift.

Softs weeks before launch would make sense.
May 27 is the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. And the black out is only for two weeks ending Friday, June 9.
So, if Pandora and/or RoL is premiering then... they have a very definite date in mind.

Kind of. These tickets are only good until June 9th, so the end date of the block out isn't necessarily an indication of anything.
i believe Disneyhead said the foliage will be done in a month
also, the water features have already been tested

No pictures but it was in the video they showed about Avatarland during the Chirstmas parade, but strangely that shot was cut from the version that is available online.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Enfilm's (Ed's) blueprints are typically quite accurate and based on actual plans:

Should help set some expectations regarding things being discussed here:
1. Length of boatride? Keep you expectations on the very short duration side.
2. Dedicated nature paths? There is a pathway under floating rocks/over water feature, but don't expect a Maharajah Jungle Trek. Something smaller than Tree of Life Gardens).
