Agreed except that 2011 was four years ago. :)

And there is always the possibility of relocating the RFC I guess if necessary.

I remember there was a rumor back when Avatar was first announced that Rain Forest would move from one side of the entrance to the other. Not sure if that was a credible rumor or not. Personally I like Rainforest, but I wouldn't mind if they replaced it with another themed sit down restaurant, since we really don't need two of them on property.

The latest aerials give us a better idea of how much of the land back there is going to be used. I have marked in red what I think the current footprint of the land will be. This does leave a little land going towards Africa, and some land down to the south. I am guessing that southern area will a become back stage area. If they ever wanted to develop that they would with have to use if for a show building, or they would have to theme the back side of the Banshee ride show building.

That photo shows how much of the land is occupied by the show buildings -- it looks like the floating mountains will be about halfway into the land (from the perspective of where you enter), whereas I thought they would be at the "back" of the land. Still, the aerial perspective probably doesn't give a good sense of the land and its scope -- it will be great, I hope.

it looks like the area where people will be able to walk around/roam in the forest is about the size of 2 football fields

You can also see that they have started putting the concrete on the mesh and are sculpting and painting it. Right above the trees on the left there are the two green vehicles and you can see it goes from brown rock work directly into the wire mesh.
I know I'm kinda new and usually just sit back quietly and enjoy reading the conversations, but figured I'd start commenting every now and then if I had something to contribute. If you look at the new full size pictures on DaMouse site, it looks to me like the brown is still dirt, but the wire mesh to the right of the green machines are possibly prefabricated pieces to be installed somewhere on that huge structure. You can also see more prefabbed pieces to the right of the yellow "roots" of the left mountain.

Ten years kinda new.

Well you see, I found this site about 10 years ago and remember following it a bit, then started working off and just started following again a couple months ago. Didn't realize I had created a user name back then. Anyway back to what I was suggesting, does anyone else see that or am I seeing things?

There was a permit for Flight of Passage the other day that appears to be for audio wiring.

Pro Sound Inc - Low Voltage Terminations
I really hope the ride keeps the name Flight of Passage. I like it and don't want it to revert to a 2000s Disney Parks name. Flight of Passage: An AVATAR Experience featuring your Pandorian Friends and Frienemies.

I know there has been talk and some visual proof on the model that there could very well be 3 entrances into the land. Just imagine walking down the old CMM entrance path the way it is now no real themeing involved and then you walk a little further in and you start to see some pandoran flora then go a little further and boom floating mountains waterfalls and at night the bioluminescence. I just like this idea that there's some mystique to it when you see less from the entrance point. I get people will be able to see the floating mountains from certain areas of AK. 3 entrances would make everything within that land visible and would kind of diminish the wow factor. Just my opinion.

I haven't heard any reference to a third entrance, where would the third one go?

I saw someone talking about multiple entrances to avatar land. Just from looking at the model I assumed they could do 2 or 3 the obvious one would be the old CMM entrance then you could have another entrance that goes to the middle of the land. This is just from me looking at the model too but I really hope there is just one entrance.
