From the new aerials, could these be ride vehicles?

At least the two seating rows visible through the tarps are consistent with the concept art. A quick perusal of Frozen (Epcot) and Pirates (Shanghai) shows the concept art is consistent with the final seating arrangements.

Which perhaps is opening up a can of worms that the seating is very limited per boat compared to Frozen's 8-12 and Shanghai's 16-20.

Geez, those boats are actually as small as the concept art illustrates them to be! And there don't look to be enough boats or evidence for the ride to be using the recently-patented omnimover boat system.

My point is, unless they have some tricks up their sleeves, capacity will be terrible.

Let's say the ride is a mere 4 minutes long, they use 12 boats, and 6 people fit in each. By my calculations, that would allow for a theoretical hourly capacity of 1,080. Increase the ride time or decrease the number of boats or riders-per-boat, and capacity only goes down.

I find it worrisome that they don't give more thought or importance to this.

Nice find though!

One would have to assume these are not the only set of ride vehicles. perhaps they are the first set delivered or perhaps there are already some inside the ride building. I can't believe they would make a new ride in such a highly anticipated land with such minuscule capacity. then again, we have been disappointed, I mean surprised, before.

When the concept art was released I was perplexed by the size of the boats, as Shanghai Pirates had yet to open I thought it was something to do with the ride system but obviously not.

I can understand the theme that you are on a canoe and hence a small boat (not like a Pirates boat) but a canoe could have 3 rows of 3 or 4 rows of 2.. these boats are just tiny. I really hope there are more than 12 other wise this ride is going to be shorter than even the pessimistic estimates.

im not even going to begin to try and guess hourly capacity yet
we dont know how many people can sit in those boats nor do we know ride length

What you mentioned are actually, I'd say, the two things that leave littlest room for higher capacity. We now have enough information on the boats to see that they will seat about 6 people, certainly no more than 8. And since we don't really know the ride time, I chose 4 minutes as a generously short estimate. If the ride is any shorter than that, we have a bigger issue.

The biggest chance at higher capacity is in there being more than 12 boats. I just took a look at the water permit, and there certainly looks to be room for more than 12. I gues my mind was on Maelstrom and its unusually spread out boats. Since this ride won't have any big drops, they can run them closer together. Point is, I'll admit that was a faulty guess on my part. I'm now predicting 1,500 an hour!

Side question. Anyone know how many boats It's a Small World typically runs at a time? Is it around 25?

Someday I'm going to make a list of all of this stuff. It's one of the few things I stuggle to find on the internet.
