Here's Shanghai and Carsland in August 2015 and August 2011 respectively, with their June openings the following year.

I still think Pandora looks ahead. Not early March ahead... but definitely on track for June at the latest. Maybe still a push for Earth day. Shanghai looks like a disaster, they really shifted into high gear in the 11th hour.

To be fair they threw several hundred million dollars extra at Shanghai to get it done on time and it never seems to rain in California so that had to help keep it on track as well.

It looks like they are adding new structure tires towards RFC. Not sure if this is new but looks like it. Also amazed by how the mountains blend with the natural foliage of DAK. The colors are almost identical.
Oh wow! It's so nice to see actual buildings! The mountains look so amazing and real.

If you are referring to these buildings, then yes, these are new, but they appear to be backstage buildings.

i dont think the building on the right is back stage

Yep. Especially interesting is that they are burying them on one side which makes me think they would be visible otherwise from Pandora.

Okay so, I'm totally confused. LOL. But, I can't wait to find out what these building are! They look too small to be ride buildings.

I kind of expected Avatarland to be set up like The Land pavilion with both rides housed in a single structure along with dining, shopping or whatever. So, we'll see.

Avatarland has one large building that will contain both rides. Shops and restaurants will be in other buildings at least some of which will look like military structures left over from the events of the first movie. The two buildings in this picture are near the entrance. The one on the left if probably a back stage support building. The one of the right is near the entrance so could be a gift show or something.

Hi @danlb_2000! Thank you so much. I really like that concept and layout -- it sounds much better than everything being housed inside of one building -- it creates more of an immersive environment that way, too. But, I do expect the gift shops to be just outside the ride exits.

I'm surprised that the main building is not up yet though. I think I am going to stick with my original 2018 prediction -- Christmas is like almost here!

Ummm..... Did you perhaps miss the GIANT, HONKING FIVE STORY BUILDING?!?!??? (You know, the one they've been building for two years now?)

Avatarland looks so amazing! If Disney can get this done in 2017 than awesome. But, I am going to stick with my original predication of Spring 2018.
Incredible isn't it. Btw great avatar:)

Pandora will blow Carsland out of the water in terms of "environment". We've never seen anything like what the Imagineers have conjured up for this project.
Definitely, but Cars land's Cadillac mountain range surrounds your view more, but in Pandora it's mainly about the floating mountains, and the environment interaction. It definitely will be incredible! Some things will be better than Card land, some not. I'm personally very excited.
